I'd have the Lost 0 every day of the week That's why we love footie though because we all have different opinions
Yet they crow about going unbeaten when other teams have had a better points haul even though they lost
But on one day you lost. You slipped up. You let things slip. You had a bad day at the office. Lost 0 means that didn't happen.
Or it could mean that with the draws you let things slip 9 times, ther other team let things slip 12 times
Fair comments. I actually rate our 2001/02 double winning side as slightly better than the 03/04 team. We trashed United twice that season.. one of the few times we've done the double over them... I think... I am not sure about that though. About whether going unbeaten is better than a treble... well it depends what you class as the better achievement. Domestically we were untouchable. In Europe less so. It's a feat which stands alone for me, apart from the treble because it's unique. Only happened twice in the English game. And will likely never be repeated. For this reason it's special and something to be treasured.
To be fair you were unbeatable in the league domestically. You were beatable in the League and FA Cups domestically.
What's more incredible about the invincible side is how little they cost compared to the Chelsea record points hall side. Arsenal ethos = slow progression reaps rewards Chelsea ethos =throw enough money at it and you'll reap rewards.
Also how many English teams have won the European cup as compared to going a whole season unbeaten. United treble is great but Domestically going unbeaten is unrivalled.
A number of English teams have won the European Cup but that's not what is being discussed here. Only one English team has done the treble. Two English teams have gone a season unbeaten in the league.
Best unbeaten team was the great AC Milan team of the early 90's. they went 58 games unbeaten including a full league season in 91-92
