    I didn't realise CMS signed for brighton until i read a comment about him after i posted this on!! That being said.. a pacey striker... Soo pref Maynard! but whether BCFC will let him leave and whether saints want to put the wages and fee forward is anothrer thing!

    All of the above but it's not going to happen we won't sign anyone apart from maybe cork (why is I taking so long to sign him).

    Cork, Maynard and someone like St Ledger. Riise would be good but might come as a hit to the wage structure.

    Someone else, a player that Nige/Don Cortese plucks from the Italian wilderness! I have enjoyed Papa and Guly so far, so another in that vein would do nicely for me.

    Maynard would set us back £4.5m at least. I'm not sure anyone realistic would be worth that much. The top scorer in the league only set Swansea back £3.5m.

    Cork! At £750,000 - what a bargain. Unlike Maynard who, it seems, would cost us £4.5M now - or nothing at the end of next season when he becomes a free agent. I would add that, at present, I am not excited by what seems to be in the market place. Hopefully, nearer the start of the season, we might be able to sweep up someone from the premiership looking for regular first football - just like (hopefully) Cork!

    Cork would be my first choice from that list, then maybe Brian Stock if he is fully fit.

    we now know that saints have significant funds available for new players - a £3.25 million bid for billy sharp accepted before it fell through. So maynard is a real possibility if he refuses to sign a new contract at Bristol City - they would rather sell him for £3mill than lose him on a free next summer

    Good point that, later in the window teams will be itching to get something for players who won't sign a new contract.

    Personally I would like to see both Cork and Maynard sign.


    Cork from what I've read is in talks for what is a BARGAIN price!


    Maynard I would spend maybe up to 3.5m on due to his Championship experience and his proven rate, plus his potential value as he grows to be a better player! Maybe 4m max!
    But all depending on Barnard's court case!
