    Invincibles for me!

Not much of an achievement when they outspent everybody since 1992 and have more mercenaries nowdays.

Do Arsenal have an invincible trophy in their cabinet or is it invisible?

    The treble, obviously.

Great as going 38 games unbeaten is, the points haul has been bettered several times before and since.

I wouldn't be surprised if they commissioned one themselves.

It is a great achievement though.

I would rather have the trophies but Arsenal fans are so proud of the achievement.

They would rather have it than win a European Cup

Chelsea had a period of absolute financial dominance, much greater than any club has enjoyed in decades, but didn't manage a treble. How can that be so? Crap management? Crap tactics? Crap fans? Crap stadium? Too many mercenaries?

financial dominance = manures for decades over every other team in England.
bridging financial gap in less than half a decade = Chelsea, Roman & Jose!!

Someone will win the treble again, Bayern did it two years ago, Inter before that. Nobody in any of the top leagues (England, Spain, Germany, Italy etc) will ever go the season unbeaten again.

Invincibles is the greater achievement since it won't be matched again.

Didn't Juve do it recently? Think they did a crappy Invincible season like the Arsenal, lots of draws, few goals and few big wins.

Bayern got close to being Invincible last season, Pep fielded weak sides once title was won

Juve 2011-12. They also drew a lot of games.

That could depend on whether they're still unbeaten and interested in the CL later in the season.

To be fair Italy can hardly be classed as a top league anymore so I shouldn't have included it <laugh>

Both are great achievements, I just loved that Arsenal team, best team ever put together in the Premier League era, had pace, power, flair. Great to watch.

Winning a treble is a a great achievement, especially given the teams you had to play to get to the champions league final, I just don't think anyone will go unbeaten in the Prem again.

I think most wins in a season trumps least losses everytime, draw specialists could go a full season undefeted and still end up relegated with 38 points.

The season after The Invincibles, we lost a game 1-0 away to City, a surprise at the time as they were not the City we know now. Nicolas Anelka scored for City with a pen. That season we broke the record for most wins and most points. While certainly not taking away from Arsenal's fantastic achievement,if that one moment in the season had been different, (penalty miss), it would have trumped (statistically) the previous season. Then again IF my aunt had balls she would be my uncle !!!
