Shoulda got him when he was at Posh. They always do well with forwards. Lets just go slap the money down on their current centre forward. What could go wrong...

Returning to a 3-5-2 will create the opportunities.

Jelavić is terrific, but beyond him we have nothing of any attacking note or significance.

    the 3-5-2 team:

    McGregor

    Elmo Chester Dawson Davies Robertson

    Hudd Diame Livermore

    Jelavić Hernandez/A N Other

I disagree, we have looked ****e and void of any creativity when playing 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 this season. I don't think the new lads quite grasp it.

I think a good old 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 with attacking players in attacking positions, and the rest of them in their proper positions should do the trick.

    McG
    Elmo Dawson Chester Robertson
    Ben Arfa Diame Huddlestone Brady
    Jelavic Hernandez

    Or

    McG
    Elmo Dawson Chester Robertson
    Huddlestone Diame
    Ben Arfa Ramirez Hernandez
    Jelavic

Purely on money spent in that window – I could be wrong (as we may/may not have had extra for Long too that window) but it was the way I read it at the time.

I know he’s going goal ape north of the border, but sadly that often proves little.

Worth a pop at the right price I suppose.

You think Huddlestone is capable of running past people? Ive seen him do it once against 3rd tier players and that was in slow motion.

He was described on here as a tug boat with a back wind, i thought it was quite funny.

No, Huddlestone is the one who should be sniffing around the edge of the box, Livermore should be making the runs. Neither of them rarely venture past the halfway line. I think that's more down to instruction than choice:

I think its cos neither of them are good enough. Come January our centre mid partnership should be Diame plus new signing.
