The sprinklers weren't on before the game..........well not from 2.20pm onwards. I just think it wasn't working properly. Bit embarrassing really.
I think it's a Premier league requirement to have under soil heating, so you don't have any postponements in the winter and they lose precious finances from TV.
Maybe it was installed by the same ar5ehole 5hit for brains builders that installed underfloor heating in my home and truly f@cked my house up.
The idiots who 'renovated' our house before we bought it installed underfloor heating under thick sandstone slabs in our kitchen. Its more effective, and cheaper, to turn the oven on and leave the door open to warm the place up. Every few weeks we discover another thing they ****ed up, its going to take years and cost thousands to put it all right. Last time I pay for a 'full survey'.
We do or at least did have under soil heating, the sale of Sir Les paid for it it and I thought that it was a requirement for the Premiership. Very strange.
When we built our current a house 18 years ago we made a last minute decision to install an underfloor heat mat in the grout under the thin Italian ceramic tile in the master bedroom ensuite bathroom. The electrical for standard baseboard heat was actually already wired in. Given our extremely cold winters here this was a wonderful decision and your feet are always toasty warm on these tiles, that tend to be rather cold with when using baseboard heat from a single source. We have experienced no maintenance issues in all those years of use, although I guess you would have to rip up the tiles to gain access to the electrical mat set underneath in the grout. If there ever was an issue, an alternative option would be to just install a cheap baseboard heater since the electrical wiring is still there for that purpose hidden behind the wooden skirting board.
We've got that in the bathroom that we re-renovated last year. Works great. Unfortunately when the re-renovation was underway we discovered that the previous owners had left us with an unsupported chinmey breast, a roof with no support (new steel required) and a floor where the struts weren't tied into the walls. What was meant to be a glamourous refit turned into a major building project, given that the back third of our house could have collapsed at any minute.
Unsupported bounce of the breasts could lead to permanent damage of the breast ligaments. The fine print in these "surveys" always specify that they were done on the basis that they were visual inspections alone and that no responsibility can be attached for hidden defects unless specifically instructed to perform same which normally means tough luck unfortunately.
Yep. Full structural. Waste of money. It's a Victorian end of terrace, so we knew it would have some issues. It's the fact that most of these issues have arisen from half-arsed 'improvements' done in the last 10 years which is irritating. That's right. They are only worthwhile for mortgage purposes. If you want your place properly checked out get a decent builder in.
Funnily enough I'm off to IKEA at lunchtime for some Christmas tree baubles and halal herring rollmops
Sorry guys...far to hot for heating and stuff like radiators etc..... Got fully ducted air con though...currently set on 22 as its a bit warm right now !!
