Fact is, if you had even the vaguest clue about the game you wouldn't be making posts like your last couple
Austin would be a very liverpool signing. Signed purely on half a season of semi decent form. For big money. 99% chance it ends in disaster.
True, but even with the obvious WUM intent there, Martinez still comes out with a 20% hit ratio, more than twice as good as bow rates Rodgers #worstwumsincethespecialrivalwatchthread
I could do with a laugh, so pray tell us, which 35% of that list do you disagree with - show your workings out
But turf the Everton table (that you made with your #neutral attitude) Is not what this thread Is about Is It? The OP started this thread to review Liverpool signings and you didn't like Tobes views so you want to turn It Into a wum Everton thread
Disagreements with the method: No player should be judged 15 games into their first season Young players clearly bought for the future should be excluded The percentage method is flawed as bigger clubs have bigger player turnovers than smaller ones (and especially if you include young players) e.g. how many Chelsea players have even made an appearance for them? Players who cost just a few million are automatically value for big clubs (unless their wages are huge) Players who move on for a profit are value (Borini and Assaidi almost did and might still) The binary judgement of hit/miss, value/not is a crude approximation Like I said though I appreciate the effort he made
QPR fans reckon they'd want £30m + Lambert to get rid of him How deluded are they to think anyone would pay £30m+ for Charlie Austin Usually the logic goes something like "Carroll was £35m so X must be worth at least Y amount" EDIT: I should say its some QPR fans, not all of them, I wouldn't think so.
Pretty stupid isn't it really?! Just goes to show we gave reputation for overpaying though. 30 mill plus for Austin
