After the next 4 games we have played everyone once (as everyone has). If we sit on 22 points I would be happy giving our home games in the second half. 47/48 points for the season, hopefully with two game to would be a big improvement.
No bus space available. Got three offers for lifts there including yourself. But no lift back. Fingers crossed you can make it fella. Asking Hull lads is a last resort. Been building bridges over there so I might get lucky. They hate you! ****ing in laws eh? My lass is first who's family actually like me. It's ****ing weird mate I tell you.
Sure, but how many teams have had all of the top teams at home and the three promoted teams plus closest rivals away, that is the question, we have to come from behind as usual, not an easy task as we have repeatedly found out.
If we get 22 its at the turn around we will be fine with our home games second half, on 22pts we won't be behind, win 5 at home and we will be safe. I really think we can do that. Couple of away wins and 4 or 5 draws we will be Mid Table. A big improvement. I would settle for that for Gus's 1st full season.
Taking our current form into account, I'd be more than happy with 6 points from the 12, even if it means us not beating the unwashed.
Unless Newcastle sign Aguero beforehand who is going to do what a lot of other teams have not been able to do
One game at a time...West Ham game is a bloody tough prospect considering their current form.. PS..Railway Club bright and early if anyone fancies a few beers..
Mate I'm quite happy down under that we're playing the hammers this wknd! Think we've got them at the right time to be honest!
Me & Mrs Smug are up on Saturday for sure, hoping to arrive around noon for some scran then a drink. Off to Edinburgh, after the match, so will have to limit it to half a dozen pints ....... I have my licence to think of After the negative 'point winning' efforts against Liverpool & Chelsea the crowd need to see some adventure against West Ham.
I love your optimism mate, but did you see West Ham this weekend or last year at the SOL, we have a tough game ahead, I will be happy not to lose, but of course hope you are right and that we win 3-1.
Watch yourself in Scotland Smug, I have just got back from three days up there and the new, lower drink drive limit came in during our stay, the police were all over and pulling people for anything so they could breathalyse them, so take care
Cheers mate, that's cracking advice After living in the 'Wild West' for many years I'm afraid I've become quite lax regarding driving regs etc. I'll be in a French registered van, which means speed/red light cameras, etc aren't a problem, but 'troops on the ground' are a different matter. Once again, thanks for the heads up mate.
Didn't see their game mate but I'm well aware of the threats they possess. Full credit to west ham their playing well, is giach back this wknd? Think he'll suit this game & I really miss his link up play with CW.. As yourself I'm hoping for the same result as stoke 3-1
Andy Carroll back amongst the goals last weekend, looked very decent. I'm sure you lot'll give him a nice welcome!
I personally like the lad and think we will struggle to contain him, that's why it is important to pose a problem for them to deal with, bringing our injured players back too soon is not the answer, much better to accommodate our few players who are on top form JOS, Brown, Lars, Catts and Briddo spring to mind, over to you Gus.
