    Heart warming.

    Life affirming.

Brought a little tear and a smile to my face.

Life is good and all is well in this best of all possible worlds.

****. I've just remembered we're in the bottom three.

And the missus is nagging me to put the sodding Christmas decorations up.

    Great story.

It must have been an egg, nobody puts pineapple on it nowadays, not since 1978.

    Them were the days.

I read an article about them a while back, in the 70's almost half the people who ate there ordered prawn cocktail, steak and chips and black forest gateaux, must have been a boring place to be a chef.

Interesting article by someone untainted by the bias of the press and TV towards the 'bigger clubs' so to speak which it rather refreshing. It also seems to me that Hull, despite what people say, and plenty do, just look at the comments on the HDM threads, that it is far from the place some of these morons paint it to be. I used to comment on the HDM website but I don't think I have ever come across a more sour, bitter, and defeatist bunch of contributors than on those comments section, no matter what subject the same ones seem to jump at a chance to degenerate their city. I can't understand why they chose to still live here, we know there are faults, big ones at that, but that doesn't cut any ice with some folk they just want to amplify the fact to a wider audience. Well done for the article young man and thanks for posting your thoughts for all to read.

What about Chicken in a basket?

    It's a chicken.

    But not on a plate.

You put it in a basket.

Just to be clear. Chicken. No plate. Basket.

Genius. Them chefs were coming at the eating out lark from a totally different angle.
