Unfortunately, Pochettino has been full of successful, not-to-be repeated experiments. How about setting up to hit on the counter against top teams? It's been a very mixed bag, for me, because there are things I do like, like the increased fitness and (more often than not) energy. The strange disconnection with what I would call learning is bizarre and exasperating, though. Especially when every single poster can see what the mistakes are. Has there ever been a team more tireless in failing to play one twos through ten men? Have we been forbidden from passing to the open man when there's a chance to lose the ball in a clump of players?
To be fair, switching Eriksen's side convinces me Pochettino isn't blind. Lennon may be hurt. But why not start out with Eriksen on the right if we start Dier? That was poor from Kane. We now specialize in losing the ball in the same group of players standing in the same clump slightly to the left of the goal.
For ****'s sake. And Arsenal go up the other end and get a penalty. And they score it. And they get another one.
That was awful from Paulinho. Poor control, loses the ball, gives away a silly foul. Sloppy and lazy.
Dier managed to do something even worse, there. Good from Bentaleb and then a totally unnecessary corner given away. Nearly concede from it, then do, then it's chalked off. This is rubbish.
Anyone else checking to see if Ryanair fly to Sao Paulo? That will be important knowledge come January.
I was just thinking we needed to lose the ball on a backheel to nowhere. Haven't seen that enough from us. Criminal defending. And Lloris bails us out again. For God's sake make a change. Thank you. 83 minutes late.
We're lucky not to be behind. All over the place at the back, being saved by Lloris and offering nothing up front. Lennon's finally coming on and Soldado's the one being replaced. Should've happened ages ago.
