The thing is being asked for more money, along with other factors, means first refusal doesn't it.

We wanted rojo, Man United were interested and paid more, we didn't get rojo.

 

Lack of Alderweireld and midfield to shield the defence, plus goals drying up, I am afraid it looks like a comfortable away win - hope I am wrong.

My team: 4-2-3-1. Gardos instead of Yoshida. Tadic moves central. Mane starting.
- Alderweireld in for Gardos if he is fit to start. I do not want to see the experiment continue with Alderweireld in midfield.
- Koeman is likely to go with Yoshida again if Alderweireld isn't fit in a 4-2-3-1. If Alderweireld is fit he may play 4-3-3, with Alderweireld in the midfield three and Yoshida starting.

The opposition are very likely to line up like this:

I think we can make the visitors uncomfortable, at the very least.

The fans can help. Hopefully the evening kick off will provoke some noise.

 

Problem is with that formation is that we have no width except from the fullbacks therefore Long should be inside and Tadic outside.

 

I hope you are right but Man U are coming good and our goals have dried up and our squad players cannot replace some of the quality we are missing.

 

I think that we have to exploit the fullback positions as this is our best chance with their two makeshift wingbacks.

 

Who will be the recipient of Fellainis elbow in this game? Vic I guess?

 

Fellaini could do himself an injury.

 

I suspect that Fellaini's elbow would come off worse if he tried to get the better of Victor

Trouble with playing long mane and tadic from the start is they will be ****ed by the end. Tadic will have to work hard playing in the 3rd central midfield role we normay play and helping pelle up front. I'd go with reed instead of mane and play 3 CMs. Utd will look to dominate midfield with Rooney dropping deep as well. We'd have a bit more on the bench as well with mane to come on.

 

My team would be something like:

Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand, Wanyama, Davis, Reed, Tadic, Mane, Pelle.

 

Saturdays have been a bit boring the past few weeks ...

 

I wouldn't mind a 4-3-3 with Reed in the midfield three. That or the 4-2-3-1.

 

Lloyd Isgrove, Jake Flannigan, Jason McCarthy & Jake Hesketh have been drafted into the first team then.
