Rodwell has been dire thus far. Having Catts n Bridcutt sitting could give Larsson more freedom in a slightly advanced role. He's shown that he can play those through balls to the strikers when he gets forward, wickhams goal on wed for instance and a borini goal last year at home when seb flicked the ball over the defence.
I think Roders has been much improved lately. Was great against Chelsea, immaculate passing and you can rely on Roders to get himself into the box as half the time we don't even have a striker in there. Good to have different CM options, if you add Giacc and Alvarez's ability to play CM we've got a bit of everything but pace at our disposal. I'm happy with our CM at the moment. It's creativity from the flanks I'm worried about as it's non existent at the moment. I'm all for tinkering with the shape. I still have my heart on three at the back in the future but I think we've got to accept the shape we're playing with cause he ain't deviating.
Sunderland: Pantilimon, Vergini, Reveillere, O'Shea (c), Brown, Bridcutt, Larsson, Gomez, Johnson, Wickham, Altidore. Subs: Cattermole, Rodwell, Fletcher, Alvarez, Buckley, T Robson, Mannone. Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Moreno, Toure, Skrtel, Lucas, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana, Lambert. Subs: Jones, Enrique, Lovren, Gerrard, Can, Allen, Markovic.
Pantilimon O'Shea--------Brown Vergini-----------------------------Reveillere Bridcutt Larsson--------Gomez Johnson------------------------Wickham Altidore It is then. Not what I'd have played. Intresting.
im offshore and all i can get is the safsee commentary,****ing ****e it is there useless. was it a pen?
Unclear. We are passing it very well but don't look like scoring. They are average but look dangerous on occasion.
Decent chance for Brown there, just couldn't get firmly onto it. Good cross from Larrson too, who looks to be the best player on the park at the moment. This could go either way, but what are odds right now of 0-0?
Happy with that. Very assured. Need a bit more creativity as always. We're ahead on possession Smithy. We've kept and passed it well. Liverpool came more into it as the half went on.
Liverpool are bloody awful mind, really bad. They all denied the 'one man team' tag, but well... We've been solid again, never looked like scoring but while it's 0-0, who knows.
Just back from fenwicks window, you's have brought me up to speed, cheers fellas Decent stream anyone?
birdcutts tackling has been excellant. Is alverez on the bench? bring him on if so. One goal will settle this
