I quite agree with you, alwaysright. And what do FIFA do about it, and for that much about corruption, racism (in Eastern Europe especially), match fixing etc? Almost nothing!! Yet how long did our clubs get banned from Europe after Heysel?
I would prefer to focus on the senseless waste of life - and had hoped that this incident would have been as high profile as the Aussie batsman - but unfortunately football has a 'bad' name among sport in the world. Regarding corruption - and without wishing to fall foul of anything which could attract litigation. I am sure that I share many similar thoughts about the 'workings' of FIFA - who must be saints** when it comes to 'dealings' - because no evidence to the contrary ever seems to surface. ** I still believe in Santa Clause & the tooth fairy.
