That would be funny Always said it depends what the name would be. For example, I wouldn't be too keen on Durex, Andrex, etc buying the rights but someone like Adidas would be alright; "Adidas Anfield" #examples
"It shouldn't affect squad development as we built this economic model on the basis it was important to find a solution where we could maintain our level of investment throughout the build. "It can only improve once the construction is finished and the money is paid (off) then it is additional revenue so it is additional revenues to invest in the team. "It shouldn't have any negative effect on investment in the football team. "That is why we do this. We obviously want more of our fans to come through the door each week but we want to compete at the highest level with our biggest competitors. "They have a bigger capacity and therefore bigger revenue so can invest bigger amounts so this is one of the final pieces in the jigsaw for us."
piecer: a person, often a child, employed in a spinning mill to join the ends of broken threads. 'broken threads' - we've got lots of those on here
In these days where the more successful clubs seem to have a bottomless pit of money I think this is very short sightedness for the future of LFC.Even with the extension it's hardly making a dent in catching up in revenue with the likes of Mufc.Seems like we'll always be the poor neighbours down the road.
we was never going to compete with them on the stadium front, that ship sailed years ago. the only area i care about competing with them is on the pitch, but we always seem to take one step forward, but 3 back sadly.
Sadly, as Redreggy just sad above, of field activities are crucial to help get the on field stuff right. By "them", I'm assuming you mean Man Utd? Once we're up to 59k then there won't be much in it with the other so-called big teams; Assuming this is up-to-date and right http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_stadiums_in_England#Existing_stadiums... 1) Old Trafford - 75,731 2) The Emirates - 60,362 3) Etihad / Eastlands - 60,000 (this isn't right on the attached, it says 46,708) 4) St James' Park - 52,405 5) Stadium of Light - 48,707 6) Anfield - 45,276 We're already sixth and the increase would put us fourth with Newcastle and Sunderland just behind us. We'd have just over 12k more than Man City. Of course, Tottenham, Chelsea and even Everton are looking to move to new homes at some point. I can't see the latter going for 60k but the other two will.
