talksport are reporting that he is about to be revealed as a brighton player...surely not...so much for wanting to play at the highest level...leads me to think that if norwich's bid was the stuff of fairytale, how many others are the same...cant be brighton, can it? the might just scrape together the cash - but out of all the teams mooted as his potential employers - they are at the bottom of the footballing pile...

    http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...9/8/exclusive-brighton-win-mackail-smith-race

checking the posh chairmans twitter (i forget his name but its @DMAC102) and it seems something is due to be announced shortly...speaking of which - if you are into twitter - follow him - beautifully cringeworthy - antics include publicly confirming your interest and accepted bid for a player (sam buldock) - only to have to go back an hour or two later and say that he didn't like your tinpot club, the 'prospect didnt excite him', and subsequently he wont be joining up...oh, @gruffnuts if you are into the whole twitter business...

I just hope he signs somewhere - anywhere soon.
Just to shut the media and more importantly, Barry Fry, up <ok>

Move to the big time:emoticon-0136-giggl so much for tunrning down City and QPR, don't forget Everton and Wolves.
Barry, I think CMS will be sending some Russians to see you:emoticon-0103-cool: maybe go for a little ride in the boot of their car:emoticon-0116-evilg
I do not wish to disrespect Brighton or Gus Poyet, but come on, what a f..ckin joke.
I feel really sorry for CMS, I know footballers are not the sharpest tools in the shed, but what happened to his agent?????<doh> Hold on, maybre it's Barry, that would explain everything. He is such a complete tosser:emoticon-0104-surpr
Well good luck Craig, hopefully you will score goals and maybe Gus will get consecutive promotions. Looks like you only chance of the big time:emoticon-0114-dull:

Why would Barry Fry allow his best player to be sold to a rival championship club in the first place! What a prick!

Well, he has! so much for CMS having Premier ambition, I'd have thought someone like leicester would be a better team if he was going to join a championship side, don't see Brighton challenging for promotion to the Premier League

cant help but wonder if brighton were the only ones seriously in for him...surely he'd have gone to west ham, qpr or leicester if it were a option - of course he would...

and apparently the brighton offer was made and accepted this morning, and personal terms were agreed in about an hour and a half later on - nah - dont buy that at all...

i doubt cms wanted to go to brighton, but was probably pushed to fund the signings they have lined up and need to pay for...

Barry fry was on the radio talking cockney pony earlier

Apparently leics, qpr and west ham had a fee agreed but Cms was not convinced by leics, west ham pulled out and controversially he said ecclestone / mittals told colin he couldn't spend the money. Oh to be a qpr fan right now

  16. Brighton have soem cash these days and their new stadium is pretty tasty. Not many thought they'd win League One last season, they did. Not many thought we'd get promoted last season, we did.

    Football's a funny game.

Can't blame him from wanting to part from Posh with Barry Fry and Darrgh MacAnthony running the club though....they are very unprofessional and obviously pulled out of the deal that would have seen CMS move to us last season at the very last minute.

This whole thing is highly suspicious:emoticon-0103-cool:
    There are several possibilities,
1 Chinese betting syndicates, betting on where CMS was going!(of course we all know they bet on anything) Fry and Mac Anthony fooled em all, must of had some money on it<party>
2 Peterborough Utd is some kind of money laundering operation:emoticon-0116-evilg would explain why CMS went to almost the worst place he could of gone<doh>
3 Fry and MacAthony are just a couple of unprofessional individuals with absolutely no idea what they are doing. They piss off every club they deal with because they talk so much S..T In the end the only club in for poor old CMS was Brighton. I bet the fee was no where near 3 million:emoticon-0102-bigsm
4 CMS had an epiphany and realised he would struggle in the Premiership and would therefore continue to ply his trade at a lower level:emoticon-0118-yawn:

thoughts anyone? Also see quotes from MacAnthony, the bulls..t continues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it was probably the money that lured him.

I guess working for an affable manager like Poyet goes a long way too, certainly when compared with the less savoury personalities of some other managers who were rumoured to be interested in Mackail-Smith.
