I'm surprised that it hasn't stirred up a big Hornets nest.

Can someone please explain to me why all the insect jokes? I think it has something to do with SN's first reply but can't connect this.

Back on topic, I'd love to see the SAINTapede finish in the top four but I think they ant got a chance and we've seen some others challenge the top 4 beefore, Like everton (From Liverpool home of the beetles), but those blues bottled it, and so shall they unfortunitely.

    Bah!

The table is reverting to norm now as the 'cream' rises slowly to the top. Southampton have done really well, as have West Ham but particularly with Southampton they have just had three of the top teams in a row and come away pointless and so their earlier place of 2nd was possibly a little wrong. That said, they could well be in the hunt for a Europa League spot but as I have said many a time that in itself can be a poisoned chalice. I hope that they don't implode now and sink to the lower mid-table, I am amazed that hey have done so well having lost half their team in the closed season.

Completely agree. I can't see them lasting the distance to make top four, even though by all accounts they were desperately unlucky to lose last night.

As you say, they have done fantastically especially in the circumstances. I really hope they don't implode and manage a EL spot. It's just a shame that expectations might have been unreasonably heightened by their initial form.

They were flying high, but after losing to burnley today I think burnley have been earwigging out side their dressing room and knew which way the penalty would go. Or maybe burnley fed them some dodgy grub before the game!

    Bah!
