Name your current Premiership under 21's 11. De Gea Fabio, Smalling, Jones, Rafael Bale, Wilshere, Ramsey, Lansbury Daniel Sturridge, Balotelli
--------------De Gea Rafael----Smalling---Jones----Gibbs ---------Wilshere----Ramsey --------------McCarthy Albrighton---------------------Bale ---------------Sturridge
Lansbury and De Gea have never played in the Premier League? Not wumming here, but shouldn't this be at the end of the season?
I couldn't think of another right winger and De Gea is rated as one of the best young keepers in the World.
Says who? Besides the day I start listening to who is up for Player of the Year bollocks is the day I die. Gareth Bale player of the year? Give me a break. For Fabio to come through and displace his brother and earn himself a place in the starting line up for the Champions League Final is a bit more than anything Kelly has done to date.
So a prospect known for rash challenges and a bit of naivety beat out an exact replica of himself and John O'shea for a right back spot in a one off match. With no one else competing for the spot. And then his side was humiliated in the most lopsided CL final ever. In all honesty it doesn't sound all that impressive. He is a very good prospect though
Agree with the Bale comment. BTW, Fabio was **** in the champions league final. Kelly is without doubt the most promising young right back in the premier league, and that's not even his natural position!
Just a little clip of how he made your wingers and fullbacks look very average
Martin Kelly and Rafael/Fabio are all fairly good prospects, I'd personally rather have Rafael and Fabio as both have shown they are as good if not better than Kelly.
Known for rash challenges? Is that all you have got? Why would he be playing at the best club in the country if he wasn't deemed good enough? You forget to mention that his side were playing against the best side the world has arguably seen before and the fact he is 20 years old. Would Kelly have done better? Who knows, he doesn't play for a team good enough to find that out.. He played in the Champions League semi final as well. I think he has a bit more experience than Kelly. Put Kelly in a big game like that and I'm sure he would have done well.
Kelly was embarrassed by Blackpool in Dalglish's first game when you got beat 2-1 so what does that tell you? I don't know where you are getting your info from but Kelly isn't the most promising young right back in the league or was he going to win the Young Player of the Year this season.
