Anyone but the tories, Living where i live the stop the tory vote has always been a liberal vote. They always campaign on a vote liberal to stop Tory ticket in Harrogate, given they went into coalition with them I wont be votinng for them ever again. I am likely to vote green if there is a candidate. For the last three local elections i have spoiled my paper by writing none of the above on it, and yes I do that, I don't not bother, at least that way I have had my say and am entitled to express an opinion. I consider my finest political moment to be heckling Norman Lamont live on TV when he failed to win the Harrogate seat in 1997. They cut the interview it was live on TV ( they said it was student activists campaigning at 33 years old I felt very flattered). He scurried off into a waiting taxi and was never seen again!
Tbh Glory, i am a bit out of touch being out here, we have sky news but never see any broacasts on the parties, having said that i have not missed them either
Lets face it they are all useless looking after themselves devoid of any feelings towards the people they are supposed to represent I would certainly NEVER vote for Ed Balls up and his cronies they are a dipicable lot with no idea about business or the economy selling our gold reserves when the price was at its lowest you can make things like this up
About that falling defeceit? I presume you are happy to take the short term view and thing Osborne bribing people with their own miney is a good thing... This stamp duty change will lead to rioting on the street at Braken Park, Scarcroft, Wigton Lane and Alwoodley Lane.
I have got 10% wrong it must have been the falling deficit thats how you spell it you really must concentrate Young Chippy We would not have had one but for Ed Balls up and the idiots called Labour who just thought they were clones of Viv Nicholson and just went on a spend spend spree with other peoples money
Just thought I'd post something here about the deficit. Sometimes I wonder if we all understand the term. As I understand it, the deficit is the measure of the money borrowed over the last quarter/year. The debt is how much we owe as a country - i.e. the accumulation of these deficits. Now it's true that the tories have brought down the deficit, but during this period, the UK Public Sector Debt (expressed as a percentage of GDP), has risen 50% (from ~50% to 75%). Thought George might have mentioned it in his Autumn Statement. Or perhaps he doesn't understand how it works .... http://www.economicshelp.org/…/334/uk-eco…/uk-national-debt/
Leeds60 are you sure you love everything WJ,as reading this gives me the idea he thinks your talking crap.SO after 4-5 years of hard times we are more in debt as a nation, the rich bankers etc who got us in this have got richer, the poor who had nothing to do with it,have got poorer and you think they have done well ?.doh.
Did you sleep through the worldwide recession and banking crisis? The clue is in the word worldwide. You know less about politics and economics than you do about the motorway network of England.
