Looks like the old team is back together. This is a good move for Williams, shows they are moving back in the right direction. Not great for Cosworth, at this rate they'll only be supplying HRT (or whatever they'll end up being called).

Interesting though that you also considered the impact on Cosworth. When I posted it it appeared that they really would be supplying just the Hispania team in 2012. Now it looks as though they'll also be supplying Virgin, initially at least. Come 2014, PURE will allegedly also be a player so we may have five engine suppliers: Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault, Cosworth, PURE and McLaren. On the Renault/Williams link-up, that means four teams for 2012: Red Bull, Renault, Williams and Team Lotus. Does that require a regulation change or is four teams okay? Or is it three customer teams maximum, which means Renault need to continue to compete as Renault, not change to Lotus?

No. There is no excuse. All members should be intimately familiar with all the threads that have ever been posted. Yes I know you're right and especially newer members can't trawl through pages and pages on the off-chance that something was already mentioned three weeks earlier. It was intensely irritating to see dozens of threads about the same thing on 606, though, so I do try to post any news on relevant existing threads, and point out that relevant existing threads exist when they do (especially when they're mine!).
This should hopefully be a step forward for Williams and get them back as a top 5 team, i think everyone has a love for Williams as a team that were so successful, but have now had a long term dip in form.
yay! good news. Im starting to like williams again now. This time as the underdog! And now they are linked up with my main Fav team Renault so this is good news for me
