    Anyone but the tories,
Living where i live the stop the tory vote has always been a liberal vote. They always campaign on a vote liberal to stop Tory ticket in Harrogate, given they went into coalition with them I wont be votinng for them ever again. I am likely to vote green if there is a candidate. For the last three local elections i have spoiled my paper by writing none of the above on it, and yes I do that, I don't not bother, at least that way I have had my say and am entitled to express an opinion.

I consider my finest political moment to be heckling Norman Lamont live on TV when he failed to win the Harrogate seat in 1997. They cut the interview it was live on TV ( they said it was student activists campaigning at 33 years old I felt very flattered). He scurried off into a waiting taxi and was never seen again!

This stamp duty change will lead to rioting on the street at Braken Park, Scarcroft, Wigton Lane and Alwoodley Lane.

Just thought I'd post something here about the deficit. Sometimes I wonder if we all understand the term. As I understand it, the deficit is the measure of the money borrowed over the last quarter/year. The debt is how much we owe as a country - i.e. the accumulation of these deficits. Now it's true that the tories have brought down the deficit, but during this period, the UK Public Sector Debt (expressed as a percentage of GDP), has risen 50% (from ~50% to 75%).

Thought George might have mentioned it in his Autumn Statement. Or perhaps he doesn't understand how it works ....

Did you sleep through the worldwide recession and banking crisis?
The clue is in the word worldwide.
You know less about politics and economics than you do about the motorway network of England.
