always good to see an informed report on the Beeb website...

"Lukaku also had a shot blocked by Craig Dawson, while Hull's ex-Toffees striker Nikica Jelavic headed inches wide."

Hi Bill. In all honesty I was beginning to lose hope for our season at half time but we came roaring back like the real Hull City in the second half and I'll sleep a lot better tonight. Once we started pushing higher up the field and getting in their faces we were competitive again. Play like that and we'll get three points on Saturday. Agree with you on Quinn...a real tiger out there.

Much more steel, grit and bollocks.

    Great response from the team.

    Fully deserved a point.

    Onwards and upwards.

Good to get that under our belts. Much needed result.

City showed some balls to get back into it.

Massive match at the weekend. We need everyone on form- both players & fans.

Aluko scores a great goal and this is how it is reported in some syndicated outfit called GUA.
"Aluko was only on the field six minutes when he exchanged passes with the former Everton striker Nikica Jelavic, evaded a weak challenge from Sylvain Distin and threaded a simple finish inside Howard’s near post. An emphatic introduction from the Hull forward but a dreadful goal for players of the experience of Howard and Distin to concede."

I got in from work just as the second half started and saw the score. 1-0 for Everton, here we go again, I thought but a glass of Fort Garry (Winnipeg) mild ale and a much better performance from City and an unexpected point cheered me up no end. I think that must be the first mild I've had since I had Hull Brewery mild forty odd years ago. Not bad ale and a pretty good result. The game against West Brom is on the box and I'm not working so looking forward to it. Perhaps I'll make a fry-up and play old home week as I watch.

    1. The fence sitters out in force basking in the glory the moment of 'told you so' regardless of 3 points in 7 games or 1 point in 5 however of how you want to look at it. If you sit on the fence long enough you're bound to get some attitude to say I told you. This isn't some self satisfying thing in which I want us to do badly to prove my point it just bemuses me how some people burry their hands in the sand like there isn't any problems at the moment.

We with Leicester are bottom of the form table and have only picked up 4/5 league wins in the entirety of 2014. 'Ahh well, we are never expected to beat the bigger teams' that attitude is a load of bull **** and every game should be based on an individual basis. That mentality shows a total lack of ambition.

    2. Just been watching Football Gold on SkySports 1 of Hull City Vs Man Utd. Huddlestone looked far better. However. He was playing in a more advanced role. I would love to see Huddlestone being played on a more advanced role and be able to what he is good at and use his wide range of passing to open up defences. Currently he is playing to deep in a role that doesn't suit him as a defensive midfielder he is far more suited in the regista role (deep lying playmaker).

    3. Well done the lads tonight picking up a point and coming from behind against one of the better teams in the league. Hopefully we can kick on from here on Saturday.

It's the Guardian. We would have to win 6-0 for them to credit us with a significant role in the scoring of our own goals. Sorry not even 6-0 would help, because when we tonked Fulham by that score, the Guardian's entire emphasis was on how poor Fulham had been and what they would need to do to rectify it for their next match.

Stick to ****ing in future. Doesn't take as long, and it only leaves one person feeling depressed and violated.
