Giroud was a beast, they had been defending well against any trickery or pace we tried to use but they couldn't cope with his physicality in the box, he broke there shape when he came on and we could of had a few at the end there. Podolski looked good too. Good subs. Good choice to keep Ramsey on with his assist for the goal too.

 

Falling inside the area doesn't make the foul inside too.

We had to work hard for that, but deserved in the end. If it wasn't for Forster it could have been 3-0, he was immense in the soton goal. I feel for him a bit, but really glad we got the 3 points and great to get 3 wins on the bounce and 3 points from 3rd now

 

What I really like at the moment are the different choices up top. We may not have that world class centre forward but he have different options. We actually have a plan B.

Fair play to Ramsey. I slagged him off during the game but he was pivotal in the goal. I still think he needs to seriously up his game though.
