Arsenal v Saints match thread

I don't know where this lack of faith in Yoshida has come from, he was pretty good last season and hasn't let us down this season, he is not Jos Hooiveld.

 

A good first half display. We can match Arsenal and should look to at least keep a point.

Pelle had a horrible miss, but this seemed to motivate him, he was very good after that. Wanyama, Long, Forster and Toby are the standout performers tonight.

 

I just don't like messing with a solid defence when there is a midfield option on the bench.

 

I think/hope it's more about only having one midfielder fit.

 

Yoshida isn't that bad, and it's more important with our style to have a commanding presence in centre midfield. Toby and Vic are doing great at snuffing out anything through the middle.

 

I trust the coaching staff to make the right call, they must've had doubts about Corky's fitness and decided that Toby is the best option to replace him.
It would be tough for Reed to come on in such a tough game.

 

He also played a hard 90 minutes on Monday.

 

I'd be more confident if Toby was still in the back but injuries are possibly going to stuff us.

 

We always seem to get injuries in the same position.

 

Oh come on.

Yoshida just looks so flakey.

 

He really doesn't. Good clearance under pressure from Sanchez there.

Really need to work on set pieces.

 

And he didn't trip over the ball in the first half.

 

By simply playing Long & getting the wingers to double up in defence, we look way more affective in closing out the opposition ...
