Seriously, whether you rate Kasper or not, to be thinking about replacing him with a 38 year old has been who hasnt played much for 4 years, is depressing.

The club has got to be carefull, the punters are restless, and we start bad next season, we wll go down.

Got blamewell's last season in charge written all over whats happening

Honestly I would rather have a 38 year old Dudek than Kasper!

Add that to the fact we dont speculate on transfers!

Cant see him coming anyway as I think he wants to remain in Spain & has a young family. He's hardly going to get a last payday with us either I am sure 90% of teams who are looking at him will pay him more.

What worries me is we have let a young Kasper go who will get better & we are looking at plugging the gap with a player who has hardly played in the last 4 years. Theres no way Grayson had someone lined up that is better than Kasper, we will have to work hard to replace him with a better standard on a free transfer.

He said he's on a list of players who are available and might do a job. He is available and he might do a job. Don't see what's wrong with what he said other than it being more speculation in public. I get that he's 38, but then again, keepers can keep playing till their early 40s and still be capable. If we got Dudek on a three-year deal, it's two years more than we'd have got out of Kasper. Then again, this rumour could just be a 'smokescreen' (if that's something managers really do do, people seem to think so) so we can sign someone else without too much speculation. I'm hoping Kuszczak on a four-year deal.

Im very positive about Larry...99.9% of the time.
However on this occasion we dropped the ball :)
No way if we had no replacement should we have done what we have.
We have left ourselves vunerable and now we may get held to ransom for the No1 GK we need.

We should have announced the signing on the day kasper signed for the Foxes....
    but not a plan b......
But we now have a big hole and in fron tof the hole is the big hole we had all season !!!! our back 4

Poor Management of this situation top to bottom!

Finally i dont want Dudek....sooner take Joe lewis from Posh

Plan A was probably Grayson assuming he had landed Westwood, plan B will be see what comes up or grab a keeper on a season long loan.

    Westwood! ;)

And I don't honestly think Grayson thought he'd be an option, it was fairly obvious the whole time he wanted to go to Sunderland. It would have been sensible to line up Kasper's replacement before selling him though, I'll be angry if we end up with a worse replacement.

I was going to sticky it when the Fun League actually gets going during the season. You can still find it by searching ThaiCanary in the Leeds board's Search Forum facility, if you ever need a gander.

    Grayson is a ****ing liar

He says he sold kasper for footballing reasons, if so why go to his agent a month ago and ask if they were willing to discuss a new deal, then.

Just be honest and say we sold him because he only had a year left, I agree with the sale, not with how its been done.

    He ****s lies tbh

Good lord, a football manager who doesn't tell the truth in press conferences.

To be honest, it looks more like it was Bates who approached Kasper's agent and it seems Grayson was quite keen to get rid of Kasper - probably for football and attitude reasons. That's my take on it anyway. It's still possible he was telling the truth, not that I'm bothered either way.

Can someone please tell me what's wrong with signing a CL winning 'keeper from Real Madrid? I know he's no spring chicken and there are a couple of other options I'd rather see us pursue but I can't see how this could be seen as anything other than a positive move.

Dudek has barely played for four years, nothing to suggest he still got any ability or hasnt.

By signing for real madrid and staying for four years when he knew he would never play, shows that he's no hungry and just after the easy life, is that what you want, a player whop interested in one last pay day.

I want us to build a team !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we're looking for is a team to get us into the Premiership. We're not trying to build a Premiership team yet. In my eyes (considering GK's now play into their 40's) Dudek would be a great signing to last us the 1 or 2 seasons it will hopefully take us to get promoted. If Real Madrid consider him good enough to be their second choice I would say he's more than good enough for the Championship.

Doubt Dudek would be rusty after a pre-season anyway, I'd be pleased if we signed him. Keepers are totally different to outfield players in that respect; they can be out of the professional game for years and still look very decent. Rather have Kuszczak on a long-termer though.

You can sign players who can improve and get better and play in the prem, hows the team gunna improve if there all short term signings, hows the team going to grow. You can have premiership class players in the champ you know.

How do you know he'd be a good signing he's barely played for 4 years, and Real madrid doesnt think he's good enough, that why they letting him leave
