We won't win any away games if we keep playing this dumb system. Firstly, we keep playing to contain which gives the home side the initiative. Secondly, Rio was signed to play 3-5-2 for his ability to 'playmake' from the back, the system didn't work because his form was poor and the other defenders can't 'read' the system and can't keep possession, and THAT is the team's biggest failing, we just aren't good enough with the ball, especially in our own half, we keep giving it away and putting ourselves under the cosh. Frankly, at PL level, our passing is an embarrassment and it is something that has been there from the start with Harry and even before...
My brother unfortunately is a Swansea Season ticket holder and told me yesterday after attending the game we were the worst side he has seen play at Liberty in 3 years and that includes the bunch that called themselves QPR in 2013 and got beat 4-1. That, coupled with Henry's pre match comments about doing everything 'ugly', is actually quite depressing. If Charlie, who always leaves everything on the pitch and has an exemplary attitude, is getting pissed off, not long before the 'losing the dressing room' crap starts again. No wonder he's taking his time over a contract extension. He scores goals from crosses, and we are set up never to cross the ball away from home. Soul destroying.
Another reason 3 at the back didn't work was that none of the centre backs could play on the left............apart from Clint, who was presumably deemed to not be good enough. As for our poor passing......................we miss Faurlin so much!
