Celtic manager Neil Lennon wants to bring former loanee Craig Bellamy back to the club and end his Manchester City nightmare. The Wales international is due to report back to City's Carrington training base for pre-season training next week - unless he can secure a move before then. Lennon is set to face competition from Blackburn Rovers as he attempts to bring Bellamy back to Parkhead. The striker enjoyed a successful loan spell in Scotland in 2005 during his Newcastle days. The 31-year-old was shipped out on loan to Cardiff City last season due to his spiky relationship with manager Roberto Mancini. The Italian now wants to offload Bellamy permanently as one of several City players he no longer believes have a future at the club. Celtic would want to take Bellamy on loan, but that would only happen if City were happy to continue paying some of the player's £90,000-a-week wages.
I doubt he will go to Celtic. He said only last summer that he wanted to stay in the English leagues and that he wanted to be closer to his family in Wales. So I can't see him wanting to move further away. I think he'll end up at Fulham, Blackburn or a mid-table prem team.
It's Cardiff again I'm afraid. And he's prepared to take a pay cut to come into line with the average wages at the club. Anywhere else is a non-starter IMO.
Pedro Thanks again for another wonderful nugget of information. I don't think Neil is too concerned about Bellamy as he isn't much good in goals and you told us earlier we need to concentrate on a goalkeeper.
Moving further away? So a few hundred miles really makes a difference? We're talking about Scotland here not Australia, you dick. What you think doesn't matter and by the way, why are you constantly trolling the Celtic boards? **** off, hun ****er.
Lol really??? have a look at our boards buddy it's the other way around we don't care who you sign we welcome the chase
Ooooooooo touchy. I wouldn't look at your boards to be honest, nothing Rangers do interests me. But you still haven't explained your obsession with all things Celtic. Enlighten me.
Prestonbear. I see you are interested in paying a visit to inland revenue, to see how the future looks like. I am afraid bigot, sorry bear even Whyte thinks that it is not very good that is why he sought an investor to help in his £1.00 buy.

Craig Bellamy is sending positive signals to Celtic about a move back to Parkhead … now he wants the Hoops to make it happen. As SportsTimes revealed on Saturday, negotiations have been going on behind the scenes to try and broker a deal for the 31-year-old Welshman. Manchester City – who have ordered Bellamy to train away from the first team – are not prepared to make the massive contribution to his wages which they did last season when the player was on loan to Cardiff.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footba...see-him-train-at-cardiff-city-91466-28986482/ £67,500 per week according to this. Or about the same as the entire Rangers first team
