Sorry for the major off topic post but this is much easier at hitting the masses than asking my friends who donât likely have as much experience or technical understanding as someone out there in the tigernation will have. I currently have a Blackberry Curve 8900 and my phone has been due for upgrade for the last 2 months and I have decided to finally upgrade it in the coming days. Do I go iPhone or Blackberry again? Some of the newer blackberry models have gone cheap/tacky looking but I really do like the more professional (similar to my current one) look of the one below (touchscreen and qwerty keyboard). The iPhone is well Apple.......I made the change to mac 2 years ago and will never go back the difference in quality and speed is incredible. Is the iphone worth the more expensive contract and having to pay for the handset even though I have an ipod touch? This is the new blackberry coming out http://uk.blackberry.com/devices/blackberrybold9900.jsp What do you reckon then tiger nation? help will be greatly received.
Mine did. A mate gave me his after he upgraded and that one lasted me until about 2005 before dying. Am on the cusp of getting a smartphone now but can't be bothered to get out of the stone age. I did like the backgammon-esque game on the 3310.
I posted a thread a coupla weeks or so, ago - Smart Phone - and quite a few thought Samsung Galaxy S2, running Android.....
For someone like me who just wants to buy one on the cheap and then use a giffgaff sim that will cost around £500. Might work for Cumbria though. Guy in my office wax's lyrical about the S2's dual core 1.2GHz CPU.
Just be thankful they are Finnish and not Norwegian or you'd probably get an earful in Swedish. I think Nokia's goose is slowly being cooked.
Nokia is mostly Finnish though (And who likes Finnish people?) Depends on what you mean with "export". In which area? Mobilephones? Yeah, probably
To be honest i do want a smartphone. constantly checking football scores, facebook, twitter and the like. I am happy paying the money i do a month atm which is ~£40
Nokia and Shefki Kuqi Finland are top notch at exports haha (yes i know he was born in Kosavo before someone pipes up)
Pretty sure that Sweden beats Finland in the football-area EC-Qualifier 1 month ago, went pretty decent.
I use a blackberry for work and iphone for personal reasons. My blackberry is a pretty old model but the iphone absolutely pisses on it in my opinion. It may make you look like a ****er but i'd recommend iphone all the way, especially if you run a mac. Anyone got an ipad and if so are they worth it if you have an iphone and macbook? Kind of want one but don't think I can really justify the need.
thanks for the info. I do really want an iphone to be honest its just not sure about justifying the cost when i can get brand new balckberry without having to pay for the handset also, am i just paying unnecessary cost similar to you with the iPad? wanting over practicality
get one of the ridiculously cheap windows phones, its got the enterprise functions of the blackberry but isnt as slow as anything, the update coming has some great stuff built in, ie facebook chat is windows phone's bbm and its already got more apps if thats what your after. edit: windows phone 7, not windows mobile, thats atrocious.
I've currently got a Blackberry Curve 8520, but was thinking of iPhone or Android, as very few apps for BBerry by comparison. Thinking of Android now, even if can't afford Samsung deal. Android apps would appear to be steadily catching up with the Apple.
