The game against City was arguably the hardest of the three so if we can raise our level of performance even a little I don't see why we can't be hopeful of at least a point tonight and all three at home to ManUre.
Man City could afford to supress our wide players as they have Toure in the team who on his day is almost worth 2 players, Arsenal have no such playerso even without Morgan we should win the midfield battle which was our undoing against City
I think Wanyama has really stepped up a level this season. He is a match for absolutely any midfielder and he has come on a lot in terms of protecting and keeping possession. I fancy him to be key tonight in breaking up Arsenal's momentum, he was immense when we last played them. Hopefully Arsenal won't be so effective at cancelling out the threat of Clyne and Bertrand. The home fans will put Arsenal under pressure to attack and gaps should appear. Really looking forward to it now, it would be a massive result.
Agreed, he's so composed on the ball now. Think Koeman has massively helped take his game to the next level
Not feeling overly optimistic but then I didn't think we'd beat them in the cup either. Tadic to start on the left is a must. He's a different player when he starts on the right and not in a good way! That probably means Long on the right. Although Mane can be a handful when he's on form, Long has probably done enough to deserve a selection. Mane also have the ability to come on and completely change the game if required, probably the only player we have able to do that. I don't see Mayuka making too much of an impact for example. Finally, lets get some decent crosses is and put pressure on their defence.
December 3rd is a great day to be born, shared with such great people as Ozzy Osbourne, Brendan Fraser, David Villa and household name Saintmagic. 3 points for the perfect birthday present please Saints
yes I did say that because it is, although I can see your point, we're a few points behind (WHU) and, despite being that far up the table I'm just looking for safety, but the truth is we both have an opportunity for European football, maybe not CL but fifth is certainly not out of the question, and Arsenal have been scraping CL qualification year after year lately, the added TV money has evened up the finances, you win and they will be three wins behind more than 1/3rd of the way through the season, that's a lot of ground to catch up, loseand they're breathing down yur neck I really want to see someone totally unfancied get to the CL, WHU, Southampton, Swansea, I don't really care which.
That great footballing mastermind, Adrian Durham on TalkSport, has declared without our best player (Snidders) and being in awful form, Arsenal are going to win this easily. Ummmmmmm
