Would we like to stay, given that money nor location is a hindrance but excepting moving abroad which I reckon 95% of us would probably do since this country is a complete ****in' rip off in all respects. I'll pick a couple of places from Scotand and England. Not been to Wales or Northern Ireland so I cannot comment. Scotland - Pitlochry - beautiful small town with fantastic countrside. Blairgowrie yet another lovely stunning town. England - Cambridge and Bath - stunning towns and such a better way of life.
I've been to St Andrew's a good few times and always really liked it. It's picturesque without being twee and coastal without attracting pasty shirtless schemeboats with the social graces of rats.
Scotland - Luss, everytime I'm there, the sun is out and it's a quaint wee toon, full of Inglunders I may add. England - London Baby (City of course)
England - Marizion, Cornwall overlooking Mounts Bay. Scotland - I live in Corstorphine, Edinburgh so no need to move.
I spent a summer working and living in and around Luss. It was nice but it was weird watching all those white-headed ER types looking in people's windows because Take the High Road used to be filmed there.
Sandbanks near Poole. Used to live in Poole and and some of the houses in Sandbanks are amazing with their own private beaches and marinas. Rich cants. Bath was nice, had 3 years there and some messy nights.
Probably biased but I'll stick with Swansea. 20 minutes from beautiful beaches, scenery and wildlife of the Gower, 10 minutes up the valleys to stunning hills and forestries. A reasonable and not overcrowded town centre (with Cardiff 30 mins down the road if necessary. Some decent and easy women on wind street. Haven't been anywhere in the UK that actually beat's it on most of those things, really all that's missing is better nightlife.
I love Bath, went there for the weekend for my 'minimoon' after I got married. Brighton is pretty cool. Or any little village on the coast in Devon or Cornwall. Nice pace of life down there.
swansea town centre is an absolute ****hole..as are some of the streets around it. its nice by the lc2 and that stretch though
I agree with Hackerjack, I'll stay here in sunny Mumbles thanks. Best beaches in Britain (biased of course) right on my doorstep. If I were to move back to England it'd probably be to the Lakes. Kendal or Keswick.
Scotland - Strathconon, my mates dad is the head gamekeeper there so been up quite a lot, amazing place. England - Stratford-upon-avon, had a awesome wkend there and the weather was fantastic. failing that London (it'd need to be plenty of cash though as i dont want to be living near any scum) i take it no ones even contemplating wales
I lived in Cambridge for a few years. The town centre with the colleges etc is nice I suppose but other than that it's distinctly average. And a very, very dull place to live. The surrounding countryside has to be the most boring in the UK. The weather's not bad though. If I were to chose a city to live in, it'd be Bristol or Edinburgh (where I have live / currently do live respectively). Big enough, but not too big. In the (english) countryside, I love the Yorkshire Dales. The East Lothian coast (Gullane, North Berwick etc) is lovely but so expensive (and full of very rich annoying people). Various parts of the highlands are just stunning.
No, just think Brighton is a cool place. Had many nights out there, always had a good time. Que homo jokes!
