I see Giacc out right so hopefully Alvarez has the ability to play central, he's not quick but has great feet so maybe, just maybe!
Should give you enough time mate, usually about 2hrs 15 from Manchester, add maybe 30mins for detour. I don't know how easy it is for you to get up to Carlisle and across via the A69, that'd be an option.
I fancy Alvarez in the middle too. He's played there last season for Inter and his asist tally was very impressive. We need creativity down the middle desperately.
I'd go along with that. Relaxed now about the next two games although if I'm honest ( or stupid) im expecting another six points. A point would still be fab against this lot tomorrow tho.
Not exactly on topic, but I've just been on the Club site to try to book tickets in the South Stand for me & bairn together as we're back for the Hull match, and it was impossible! We'll still get into a boring bit of the ground but I hadn't realised that season ticket sales had been so good. Hoping for a cracking atmosphere tomorrow evening!
To be honest mate there's very few seats together in the south stand at all now. Just single seats. must have cracking season ticket sales this year.
Sweet, I'm happy with the homeless mate, I try to be a bit more benevolent towards them when winter kicks in anyhow, unless you object for any reason. Good luck, obviously!
This is a different prospect than the Chelsea game. Chelsea had their full rear guard all playing so were always strong at the back to begin with but Man City has a very weak centre back pairing so do we play more offensive from the off or try the same tactics that worked against Chelsea?? I honestly wouldnt know how to play this.
Atmospohere was great - but no way would I vote for half 5 kick offs - I'd have to give up my Season Card! And I'd settle for a point tonight as well then go and beat the dippers this Saturday. Look at the fixturs this week for the bottom half: Leicester: QPR (a), Liverpool (h), Villa (a) QPR: Leicester(h), Swansea (a), Burnley (h) Hull: Man Utd (a), Everton (a), West Brom (h) Burnley: Villa (h), Newcastle (h), QPR (a) West Brom: Arsenal (h), West Ham (h), Hull (a) Palace: Seansea (a), Villa (h), Spurs (a) Sunderland: Chelsea (h), Man City (h) and Liverpool (a) Stoke: Liverpool (a), Man Utd (a), Arsenal (h) Villa Burnley (a), Palace (a), Leicester (h) Everton: Spurs (a), Hull (h), Man City (a) I've bolded ours and Stoke's as everyone else has at least one game against a bottom half side. I would comfortably swap our three for any of the others - I know you have to play tham all at some point but why should you be forced to play 3 games against top teams in 8 days. This should be weighted differently IMO
No objections whatsoever, and I too make a point of giving something to those who are left on the street when I can. I remember a couple of years back we had a bloke living homeless and spending his nights tucked up in a little alcove near to one of the university buildings where I work. Even when it was freezing he wouldn't accept our offers of hot drinks during the night, and if we offered him cash he actually took offence..I have never came across a homeless person like him either before or since and amazingly he always managed to keep himself looking smart...He made a lasting impression on me and I often wonder how on earth he got himself in that kind of situation. For the record, I still see this man every now and again, and I believe he is still living rough in another area of the city, and he is still keeping himself looking smart..
Love that. The majority of the ones in Manchester are either rude, drunk, aggressive or foreign or a combination. The ones who I give money to rarely ask for it, sometimes they really just want a chat. I'm happy to chat to them, providing they're not pissed up and being rude. Plenty of them aren't scum bag's who'd smash your car window in for a quid, it's those ones I look to help where I can, not these Big Issue sellers from Moldova.
Add another 6 hours because the entire M60 clockwise (not sure about the other way) and M62 Eastbound is a 50 MPH average speed check zone!
Aye but the problem is the donuts that drive at 20mph through them in BOTH ****ING LANES!!! A 50mph limit isn;t bad but people slow down so much in them it becomes painful! I've often overtaken someone at 55 then slowed down to 45 for a quarter of a mile when I get past to make sure my average is under 50!!
Welcome on board Marcus, I am sure some one some where, weights this fixture lists against us, we never get a newly promoted team at the SOL in the first half of the season what we get is the big guns year after year so getting off to a slow start is guaranteed.
Do you know anybody who's been done by those cameras, the Average speed ones? I heard there was a dispute over who takes the payment so they've been nothing more than a deterrent for speeding for the past 2 years. The ones on the M6 near Birmingham are a killer, they put them every 400 yards and they always change the speed limit, I've managed to dodge them so far but I'm down that way all the time so it's only a matter of time!
it happens to be my middle name ,well sort of its really , adjective kind, good, kindly, understanding, caring, liberal, generous, obliging, sympathetic, humanitarian, charitable, benign, humane, compassionate, gracious, indulgent, amiable, amicable, lenient, cordial, considerate, affable, congenial, altruistic, philanthropic, bountiful, beneficent, well-disposed, kind-hearted, warm-hearted, bounteous, tender-hearted ......................but i have shortened it to benevolent.
My business partner got done on the ones on the M42 in variable speed limit, but then again I go down there daily and have never had a ticket (touch wood). My old man got done on the average ones on the M5 near Bristol. So I think they do work. I live right near the ones on the M6 they are a complete pain. In fact any average 50 limit is a complete pain when there are no workmen working.
