I'm truthfully not calling for anyone's head. Genuinely. On another thread I was discussing when the cut-off point is with a run of straight losses. How patient would you be? I know it depends on the circumstances and a myriad of variables, I understand that, but, as a bit of interest, when would you say "Enough is enough!" ? How many straight losses before you, as chair of the board, sack the manager? Anonymous poll.
Great question Andy but it is tough to call. I thought we were unlucky on Saturday but that could be down to confidence which would lead back to the manager. I dont think its time to press the panic button just yet as a couple of wins on the spin will put us back on track - though equally we cannot go on getting beaten every week. if we lose to Fulham and Wigan I might be calling for a change.
I didn't go on Saturday, but it looked from the telly that we were unlucky to come away with nothing.
There is often a comment that managers should be given a couple of transfer windows to mould his team, but in our set-up, whose team is it?
Samuel Goldwyn famously coined the phrase "the harder I work, the luckier I become" Luck balances out in the long run. It would make us look even more of a laughing stock club than we were when we appointed Joker-novic if we got rid of him now and who would replace him. Sorry but we are now stuck with him. I was not impressed with his credentials when he arrived and pointed out that his success in the past had been in Thailand - not a football force nation (but some thought that was impressive) and from taking over an excellent squad from the guy who became the Serbian national coach - and doing very well with them. We should not have sacked McKinlay. The Pozzos have been excellent for us but their "European" ideas on appointing and sacking coaches are not cutting it here
He did look a bit lost on the touchline but in all fairness has admitted we haven't played that well which is a good thing rather than trying to hide behind excuses and pretend the bad run is just down to luck. 0-0 would have been a fairer result - certainly didn't deserve to lose but we did...
The other side to the anti-Joka coin! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...sn_t_solely_to_blame_for_Watford_s_poor_form/
Jokanovic has taken eight points; the same as current Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and Taylor himself during his second, temporary, spell in charge. And underneath them? Promotion-winning manager Aidy Boothroyd and Sean Dyche, who guided the club to their highest finish in four years and has since taken Burnley into the Premier League on a shoe-string budget. mmm....
More on the theme from our CB - http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...Ekstrand__Losing_run_isn_t_Jokanovic_s_fault/ but who would publicly speak out against a current manager?
