<peacedove>Kolo Touré not a young defender but currently doing well at the back.
Should he remain there for the foreseeable future?.

Consistency. No coincidence our defence is poor when we chop and change every game. Said after Stoke, Toure and Johnson need to stay in for a few games just because they helped keep a clean sheet

Johnson needs to f*ck off. He is no use to this team whatsoever.

Toure has to stay in simply because he's better than skrtel and Lovren, but Sakho needs to come straight back in. I believe he and Toure can be a very good partnership.

Not fair on Johnson, he earned us 3 points against Stoke putting his head on the line.<doh>

But he's rubbish and is "not crawling" for a new contract.

He's going through the motions, we'd be better off playing Moreno and Manquillo imo, give them the experience that is needed they'll soon settle in and will at least try.

They're left and right backs mate, and I would play them.

I would keep Toure in the centre, next to whom I'm not sure.

I think 905 on here would like to see

    Manquillo Toure Sahko Moreno.

It far more likely to be

Johnson Skertl Toure Enrique in the next 2/3 games.

For me I'd compromise and let enrique play in the league games v sunderland and utd and rotate for basel (fitness guys, has to be said)

I would want to see some of the same with johnson too. but finally.... shako v skertl... Toure sahko has mroe balance but the thing is... the grass is always greener... Is shako that good, will he stay fit etc etc etc...

Toure isn't fantastic, but he is no nonsense and is what we need at the back for now.

Yes to keeping Toure in....absolute NO to partnering him with Sakho. I genuinely don't get the praise for that lad when he's been awful every time he's played (makes Traore look confident ffs). As with swapping Reina for Ming, swapping Agger for Sakho was equally as mental.

Toure is not the answer long term (obviously) but for now he's the best of a bad bunch to play as the left of the two centre backs. Skrtel is better next to him as well simply because he needs to be organised and Toure does that well.

Our biggest problem is that with a ruck of games coming up can we get Toure on the pitch every game over Christmas? The next problem is that I'm not confident Rodgers has the nous to buy any better or to improve things defensively in training.

That first paragraph is a lie and you know it. When Sakho played before his injury he was brilliant.
