Fair enough mate but truth of the matter is, it was a seriously poor game. Despite the scoreline, we struggled to beat bottom of the table, Leicester Sh*tty. If you can find joy in that performance, then I salute you. But for me personally, we got away with it, again. And there are far more negatives to talk about than there are positives.
I can't make my mind up who I prefer out of Enrique and Moreno but both are good options and neither are as good as Flanno
I said earlier Gerrard was a lot better today further up the pitch, especially when they went down to 10 men. Wasn't excellent but a lot better. Passing and his energy levels were a lot better. 1 other thing to note, nice to see 3 of our midfielders score tonight. We need to spread goals out around the team and Lallana/Henderson need to be adding 15 goals between them this year.
Not at all... don't understand how you don't rate him. Other than sometimes taking a bit too long on the ball at times, he is head and shoulders defensively above anyone else.
I refer you to Leicester beating Man Utd 5-3 and my previous comment of promoted teams raising their games against certain sides, Man Utd and ourselves usually being the main two suspects. Leicester pressed hard and fought for everything. Sure, we should be fighting too but considering our recent performances and form, I don't care how we play so long as we get at least two points! (intentional as always Tobes ) If we somehow string four or five wins together then maybe I'll start to look at the performances instead.
We've already praised Gerrard, Enrique and Flanno, don't mention Lallana too else you'll push Jimmy over the edge
You're right, I've already dropped one b*llock. Lallana - didn't really notice him to be honest. Took his goal really well and puts in a shift.
I thought Mignolet & Johnson played well today as well All seriousness, Johnson was actually ok. Gave the ball away once and obviously lost the ball up the pitch for their goal but can't pin the blame on him for that, Lucas should have covered him better.
He was still poor but not as poor as usual. One criticism I did have was how slowly he tried to get back for the goal though.
Thought we did well, was never gonna be a game of skill as we're playing a side also lacking confidence. Bringing in Lucas has given us back or grit, he's been more influential than anyone else in the side.
True, but I don't think he a ever going to get back in time. Lucas should have shown the player down the line, Toure should have seen and matched the run. Mig did well for the save, Skrtel should have done better for his header and Mig if being highly critical should have had his pot covered rather than just the goal. Comedy of errors between them led to that goal really.
Johnson was poor again I thought, gave to ball away more than the once Biscan claims. Migs got away with his big **** up today, thank god Cambiaso didn't bring his good boots with him Skrtel was our worst player by far, despite us winning he's been truly shocking for two games now!
Really pleased with the performance, although the opposition was a bit poor. Ref was a bit crap though, clearly had something against Raheem and didn't want to give us a penalty.
Must say we played a side low in confidence who have dropped their intensity and pressing game Great time to play them.... I feel praise who you like the issues are still obvious. Sunderland will be interesting and I think we have a chance if they play the same as they did v Chelsea... I mean let's be fair if they set out to defend anything can happen.
Raheem must have been ****ing livid with that ref,I lost count how many times the decision went against him
Scumchester game is looming I've just noticed. Need to win the next two games to go into that well at Old Trafford. They're good going forward but not great at the back. We're poor going forward and poor at the back - doesn't look great on paper!
