We are getting very good at winning the ball high up the pitch and countering teams now. Just a shame the delivery has been lacking.
Liverpool are going to get battered on the 14th, they are lucky they are playing the bottom teams at the moment
We missed Rooney imo. He keeps things tight and is often the fulcrum for all our passing play in the final third. Have to say that even though we pressed high up, I was frustrated at how often Stoke were able to play their way out from the back. They seemed to turn our players and get the pass off. We did miss some great chances to score a couple more and make it easy though.
Yeh rooney would have tidied it up. Its good to pick up the win with him and di maria out too. Starting to show good depth in the squad which bodes well going forward. Agree about Young. Good game for him. Valencia wasnt too bad either.
Sign of self-belief coming back among some of these players?? They just look to be playing with more confidence.
14th Unless De Gea has another worldie game for you guys, think it could be a high scoring game with both defences being pretty poor.
could only listen to the game. PC thickie, so cant grasp this "streaming" idea. Seems we got an ugly win, but from what I heard Fellaini, Young and Valencia, 3 players we all wanted rid of last year, had quality games and were worthy of the shirt.
De Gea had nothing to do for most of the game tbf. We just invited pressure at the end. How are Liverpool with stacking bodies around the box and playing the long ball bcos that still causes us a bit of a problem tbh. Other than that I think our defence isn't looking too bad. I didn't see the Liverpool match, easy win by the looks of it. Bloody Leicester cheese! Fcking hate teams that break their club records against us and then fcking fold to every other team!
Heard De Gea won you 3 points instead of 1 with some brilliant saves in last minute?? Erm, we have Johnson Toure and Skrtel at the back so we stack bodies... but might as well stack cones Wasn't an easy win.. We weren't great, Leicester were well in the game until we got the 3rd and killed it off. Don't know how anyone could possible lose 5-3 against them though
Football's a funny game. How can a team that's been in great form for months go 3-0 up away to Crystal Palace with a handful of minutes to play and end up drawing 3-3? Palace fans dared to dream that night.
Tbf if you put them in our box and float the ball in, we'd probably make them look like strikers! It's funny bcos if the ball is whipped in, we're actually not bad at seeing out the danger. But float the fcker in and we look a little nervous. Very strange! De Gea made 1 brilliant save. Young also cleared off the line.
History history history, all we hear from you United fans. A bit like coming back to 3-3 to win a 5th European trophy.. Or like losing the Prem while your fans celebrate as City go and score a winner in Fergie Time You say that, but we still can't score from a set piece, or defend them very well Sounds like we need Andy Carroll upfront
