Good decision from the ref. On an angle but no defender within site and a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Sterling looking poor again tonight. Doing ok running at players but end product has been poor apart from the goal.

From our free kick... Skrtel takes too long loses it and then Sterling wimps out of the 50/50 challenge.

Lallana wanted to take out the man up the pitch but couldn't being on a yellow so had to let him go and Gerrard had to take one for the team.

Didn't need to have to score "goal scoring opportunity" is the term. a 1v1 from 20 yards out, you can't get much more of a goal scoring chance

Sterling is the only threat we have. He's like Suarez from 2 seasons ago where he has to do everything himself and has no options in the box and ends up shooting from difficult positions.

BBC Salford... "just inside his own half" <doh>
Try 5 yards outside his own box

Thought it was a "clear" goal scoring opportunity? Certainly had a lot to do still.

Doesn't get much clearer than 1v1?

Sterling waits for the ball and loses it yet again!

How that not a yellow card then? Guy dives in from behind and takes out Sterling <doh>

Lallana odd for Allen. He played well first half but been average 2nd, losing the ball and on a booking as well.

If that wasn't then nothing ever is and the rule should be thrown out

Wasn't playing very well. Getting beaten a bit too easily.

If that;s the reason for taking a full back off, then why has Johnson been played so often. <laugh>
