    1. We can't attack like we did on Saturday. Ned will be more defensively sound.
    2. We need to keep it tight (although I agree with you).
    3. Vargas is quick, while Fer and Kranky shouldn't be dropped.
    4. Barton is our captain and also played very well on Saturday.
    5. Of course they are - which is why we can't play like we did on Saturday. We won't have as much possession tonight. I agree about OBZ, but he might not be 100% and who would be dropped for OBZ?

I can't say I agree. None of the more conventional wingers we have have shown any sort of form this season and both Fer and Kranjcar played well on the weekend.

Barton isn't the cup of tea of many but who else is there? Mutch? Perhaps but if Barton can stick to what he's good at (getting the ball back and giving it to someone better than him within ten yards) then he's a good player.

I don't see how lumping it forward is likely to be effective. We've got to try and keep the ball a bit surely. Swansea are a decent side but Palace got a result there recently.

Can only assume that they have realised that Isla is a wing back/ Right mid, not a full back and they expect a lot down that channel tonight. Onuoha told to sit and lets hold out for the 0-0, it's a bonus game after all.........Vargas the outlet. It might actually work, and a lot on the bench.

Dunne will hopefully handle the physical battle with Bony as well as he did with Costa.

Don't agree with Isla out if for tactical reasons. That negative approach makes me glad I didn't take the half day at work to travel up there

Look mate. We're all entitled to our opinions. As long as we get a favourable result tonight nothing else matters.
I just said I didn't like that team and gave my reasons. I think Harry has again gone for a negative team hoping for a draw when at some stage he has to say 'fu•k it' and go for it.

Sincere apologies Totally, did not mean to come across like that. Just home from work and knackered.

I feel the points I made above were valid. In many ways we were lucky on Saturday. The team is working harder but could be set up better IMO.
Ned is not a RB and playing Isla IMO sends out a positive rather than a negative message. I always prefer wingers with pace and feel Hoilett has more to offer but hasn't had a decent run of games to show what he is capable of. Barton gives the ball away way way too often for my liking and against a team like Swansea that can hold the ball, his inaccuracy could kill us.

Have to assume that Harold knows what he is doing, after all he is paid £3m a year to do so. Maybe he thinks that Ned will offer us a bit more stability at the back.......Dunne I can understand given the physical pressence of Bony.

    No worries, Nuts!
I would also love us to get at them and am worried that we might end up with another poor away display. Let's hope not, anyway.
We are on different planets when it comes to Barton:emoticon-0107-sweat

Got to say Im with Nuts on this one. I dont rate Ned as a right back but can see the sense in putting him there if we are playing for a draw.
Not intrested in Barton TBH until he decides to go back to doing what he is good at. And for the record he wll NEVER be our captain in my eyes.

Seems like we've set up to contain and if thats the ain then maybe it should be just 1 up front?

Personally id like to see us have go at it and give our fans something to cheer about.
Time will tell i guess <ok>
