We shouldn't take any team or match for granted, especially not at the moment. But at the same time, we should be confident in our own abilities and not big-up Leicester (who look a decent team, albeit out of form) into something they're not.
My optimisic side says we'll finally hit our stride and get a convincing win, say 3 or 4-1. My pessimistic side say we'll mentally crumble and lose.
This game reminds me of when we played Bolton a few years ago for some reason. Hope we get a better result this time, mind.
we're much more free in attack without balotelli, we will have plenty of chances to score, just need to finish them. But we are guaranteed to concede from a set piece
Think Toure's got the right idea, respect everyone - no game is 3 points before you've worked for it.
i'm just hoping for 3pts. i don't care we are playing bottom, just care for 3pts, see if someone is prepared for a kick in the head again, as that's the type of attitude we are going to need to win games, well at least until studge is back or we can buy someone .
Was that the one with Kenny in charge, january game? We were piss poor and deservedly got beat. Really depressing game
Get ****ing in!!! Just checked and it's on BT Sport which means I can TiVo it (Have to pick the Mrs (nm) up at 8pm)
That's the one I remember being so pissed off after that - sort of swung it for a managerial change at the time.
He has not been "OUTSTANING" Brendan. His overuse of these sorts of words just brings down their value, and the praise itself. Just shush and concentrate Brendan!
Gerrard did get some great assists last season with his passing from deep. I hope we see the Lucas Allen pairing gain today.
Liverpool's XI: Mignolet, Manquillo, Johnson, Toure, Skrtel, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Lambert. Substitutes: Jones, Lovren, Coutinho, Moreno, Allen, Can, Markovic. Lucas and Gerrard holding. Hmm, not a mobile midfield at all bar Henderson. Johnson retains his place but is moved to the left, of course.
