and we have to keep bullard ghilas olofinjana mcshane and we just get the two keepers, are we THAT bad off? providing theyre fit we have a decent set of defenders, rosenoir, mcshane, chester, hobbs, cooper, dudgeon, dawson midfielders - olofinjana, bullard, mckenna, cairney, harper, evans, koren attackers - fryatt, simpson, mclean, stewart, adebola, ghilas. im not saying that it will happen, i doubt it will, but i dont think were that bad off if it does, possibly the best centre midfield in the championship.
I've seen him play for City and watched him a couple of times playing for Arles ... in which 2 of the 3 i watched he scored in
That is seriously lucky! I saw him have one good game for City amongst a few really dire "efforts" and several pathetic outings in our reserves. I'm happy for everyone to start afresh but if NP decides by August that Ghilas is sh1te, then I don't want to hear anyone moaning because he scored against Bolton that time.
He only scored two all season, are you sure you weren't watching a highlights package. I saw every game he played for us, all of last seasons pre-seasons and half a dozen reserve games and other than Bolton at home, he looked fairly ****. I hope he comes good, but I've seen little to suggest he will, particularity based on his pre-season performances(when he had a new manager to impress) and he couldn't have looked less interested. He can't even eat a pasty without getting in a mess, he was completely covered in pastry outside the York game last season.
He runs and creates.. not exactly a 15 goal a season striker but he'd be a good player in this league IMO with the right partner
A strange thing, I just noticed that Kamel Ghilas is no longer listed as a City player on the OWS. It might be nothing, there's often cock-up's by the people that operate the site, but you never know.
i saw him at ferriby last year, and he skinned there full back and set up cousin.... in all seriousness, i remember he came on in the drubbing at old trafford, in the 2nd season and was about the only player to manage a shot on goal, and thats about it, reminds me of halmosi, got given a chance and was dropped stright away for not setting the world alight, while the likes of ***an get 100 attempts at being ****..its a funny old game... to sum up, id love to see a midfield of ghilas - koren- olifinjana/mckenna - stewart.. but theres more chance of me shagging cheryl cole

If we could afford to keep the likes of Bullard and Olifinjana then I certainly would. In fact they'd be my starting central midfielders. However the Pearsons will be looking at the interest in them both and will plan to exploit it. We might just be able to afford their wages for a season but unless we got promoted then there wouldn't be any benefit in having them. As for Ghilas, yes he had a good game against Bolton and yes he scored the winner. But if I was playing for a football club I'd make sure I'd put in 100% week in week out in training, reserve games and proper games. If he's not willing to make an effort to convince the manager he's worthy of a start then he should be shipped out. He's on a high wage and frankly, isn't worth it.
Get rid of the waste of space Harper and Mclean, that will pay for some of Bullards wages , as everyone says we cant afford him. Dont our owners have assets of £180m plus. so why cant we afford one player of that wage.
I think the main issue is. Why would the Allams want to put up that much cash if we're not going to get promoted? There wouldn't be any financial benefit at all. In fact they'd make a big loss. Ship them out unless we're going to attack the league all guns blazing.
I'm sure jimmy would want to play for us but for the Pearson and Pearson double act not wanting him to. I think they have made it quite clear he has to go. And why should not get waht he deserves. I m sure you have been asked , would you do the same if you where given that contract, sure the answer would be yes. So dont blame him, blame A Pearson and his glove puppet Nige.
Or blame Bullard and Duffen for A) Being a negative influence on the rest of the team and not putting in any effort and B) Giving an injury prone player a big contract without putting in a relegation clause.
