Respect; commission is not something I could do. Always preferred this thread being called Beefys Corner.
So a lot of people are being bought phones for Christmas then! I bet town is horrific at the moment. I'm avoiding it. Are you in West Quay or on the High street?
It's easier now I set my own goals ha. But yeah a lot of people think it is easy to sell stuff, which it isn't.
Though I've been in the O2 store recently and there wasn't anyone working there with Beefy on their name badge
Aha, you wouldn't see me anyways. I'm in management now, so I only deal with a few sales a week. I'm not really on the shop floor all that much. What with now help running two stores as the offer manager left. Nope I don't work for O2.
Sounds like you're doing well for yourself Oh, it's not Carphone Warehouse is it? I heard the customer service in there is terrible
What do you think about Balotelli's latest twitter storm? I can't see this as racist...may be unwise bearing in mind how sensitive everyone is, but he meant it to be antiracist (just didn't check everything with a fine tooth comb).
Its not racist, he's stereotyping so you might call it ignorance but its not racist. I think with most players this would hardly get a mention but that lad has put his foot in it sooooo many times in the past that of course its gonna be jumped on and he should know that. He either really loves any sort of attention or he just doesnt think anything he does through beforehand.
I read your opening line a couple of times, and felt that if Balotelli's twitter message [specifically the poster] was not racist, then it came perilously close to it. I think that, in conversational debate, one would probably think that it is racist, but given time to reflect perhaps it is harder to define. In the end I couldn't quite decide, so I looked up a standard dictionary definition of racism. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- racism noun noun: racism the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. "theories of racism" prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. "a programme to combat racism"

synonyms: racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice/bigotry, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, bias, intolerance;

---------------------------------------------------------------------- So I would suggest that Balotelli's twitter poster was racist. He may not consciously have thought it, but his otherwise apparent ignorance is no excuse. The poster is racist, even if it was not intended to be when it was created.
It wasn't racist until he said "grabs coins like a Jew". I hate the PC brigade and think you should be able to say what you want, but that IS racist. It's perpetuating a negative stereotype. I disagree with Tommomo also; I think if a white player had said that (not a Black Italian), it would be all over the media. I hadn't even heard of Balotelli's comments until Fran mentioned it.
I agree that this is the only racist bit. To be honest though can anyone (Jewish or not) really take offence to something like that. There's so much stuff on TV getting laughs from these stereotypes but the second it's mentioned in football it gets blown up
the bit before especially seems to have been unfairly stigmatised like the word discrimination. you'd be a nutter not to accept that on average white people are comparatively s**t at sprinting and jumping (high jump excluded. limitations of equipment availability?).
