Wellllll... its quite long so i'm not pushed for the cinema route... that said hell... fury was quite long and all.
You can get hold of Oscar Screeners at this time of year so the quality will be good but you may have to put up with a message on the screen every 20 mins or so telling you it's a screener and not to be copied the message only lasts a couple of seconds. I've had films that are not even in UK cinemas at this time of year gets even better in Jan usually. It was a copy of Fury I watched and the picture was the same as a DVD.
Finally got round to finishing the wire, am now a little gutted. That and breaking bad, easily the two best tv shows ever made.
Boardwalk Empire would be a good one to go with. This is England is short, a film then 2 series of 4 episode with another series coming soon but probably the best British TV series ever. Top Boy is worth a watch 2 series British again about drug dealers on a London Estate. And finally Peaky Blinders another British one about the gangs in Birmingham after WW1, series 2 just finished and it's brilliant also has big names in Cillian Murphy, Sam Sheppard and Tom Hardy I think it's the first attempt by a Brit to rival all thses US TV progs.
Will have a look. . Have started fringe, not sure what to make of it really, it's a bit like x files.
everyone says boardwalk empire but i found the first few dodgy and never went back.. I think i probably missed out.
I stopped watching the first time around as I was used to a faster pace and it is a bit slower. Started watching again recently and it is certainly worth sticking with.
Last night. Thought it was **** actually. Plus AMC managed to spoil the crap out of it all over the interwebz beforehand. Amateurs
I thought it was decent. A little predictable and perhaps not what it could have been for a mid-season finale but decent all the same. Spoiler alert...[NSFW]I didn't expect Beth to be killed though[/NSFW]
Glad I persisted with Gotham too. Not the greatest show on earth but has been much better for the last three episodes.
