Was recently put on to Stieg Larsson by a friend (who happens to be a Brighton supporter, let that pass). They are page turners- a good read. If you can, read 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' first.
I'm having a break before launching into the third book.
They're disappointingly light on references to WFC though.

We have a couple of pear trees in the garden that attract hornets. A 30 year old local man was stung by one a couple of years ago and died because he didn't nip down to the doctors quickly enough.

Mme has her trap for them as they cannot resist the smell of beer. Most years she has used one of the local light ales, but this year while having a bit of a sort out found a couple of cans of Mackeson that she puts into winter meals. As they had been forgotten and were well out of date she tried some in her hornet and wasp traps. The little darlings are fighting to get in there and depart this life in a haze.

I think there has to be a moral about hornets and drink, but cannot for the life of me think what it might be.

An Israeli friend of mine told me that they said the same thing in the Israeli Army. Only they added - "what kills you makes your mother stronger"

Cardiff have now officially signed Andrew Taylor. Its a shame that we won't see anymore of him but I'm sure he will florish there but it makes you wonder if we were involved or interested at all. I know we could not pay anywhere near as much but would he think it's better the devil you know and I wonder where he will play under Mm given that they have signed Conway who is a midfielder so surely AT will revert to his old lb position??
