Read, "they harried and hassled me and made me run about a lot. I don't like that 'cos I'm a bit slow"

Was great seeing Perryman at half time. He said one of his memories of his time was the Ricky Villa cup final goal and watching Crooks not move an inch during the whole move. Got a good laugh when he said "and now he sits on a sofa telling everyone how to play"

  5. Even Lawro disagreed with that - said it was the tackle of the day!! Martinez has made himself look stupid in the last few hours.

I thought his best one was, "but I'll never blame a third party for us not getting a result" after he'd already done just that twice, and then went on to stress how Oliver's penalty decision had cost them.

One of the most enjoyable days yesterday I've had down the Lane in a long time. Not just because I turned 25 :)D) and came away with 3 points but it was a well earned 3 points against a strong Everton side in which we played some of our best football of the season.

Mason and Bentaleb were bloody brilliant, Kane was also immense and probably just edged the MOTM over them in my opinion, whereas the two centre backs finally looked like a decent pairing. Fazio had his best game in a Spurs shirt and Jan looked like the player from his debut season with us. The whole starting XI worked really hard though, we finally looked like a team for a change and not 11 individuals thrown on the pitch together.

All the goals were enjoyable to watch, of course it was disappointing to go behind but you can't help but admire a goal like Mirallas'. Eriksen's dink was brilliant, at first I thought why didn't he smash it but there's a clear reason why he's paid thousands and I sit in the stands, such a cool and quality finish. Soldado's finish was typical of his Valencia style, penalty box predator that given half a chance can slot it past the keeper with no problems, I'd love to think that will kick start his Spurs career but I won't be jumping the gun.

There was one sour note yesterday - the Everton fans. Without a doubt the most disgusting, degenerate c**ts that have visited the Lane. There are always heated words between Londoners and Scousers and that was no different yesterday, both sets of fans were throwing insults throughout the game but as the final whistle blew, the scummy f**ers decided to spit at Spurs fans multiple times (well into double figures, was literally raining saliva), the police and stewards got involved as fans from both sides then attempted to get physical by the barriers but I can't understand how grown can spit in another's' face, especially over football. w**kers.

Opta say our players ran 121.6 km in that game, further than anyone else at the weekend. A clear sign of hard work, and it paying off, which is great. I was listening to the game via the radio and I was grinning like a loon on my train when Soldado scored. I got to Kings Cross in time to hop onto the Victoria line trains full of Spurs fans of whom I was very jealous indeed. Sounded an excellent game for us all round after our recent home performances.

I hope Lennon has secured his place. I'm hoping he was the reason for our increased pace and closing down. There must be a reason why we played so differently...

Chiriches has a lovely cross on him. I want to see more of him at RB.

When you are at the ground, you see so much clearer how he's so good at covering/supporting the full-back. A top performance with an assist as well. Hopefully he was just knackered after an hour.

The problem with this is that it makes it clearer that, while Chadli has scored some crucial goals this season, when it comes to covering or supporting the full back he's not up to speed with other players in his position.

Lennon is the one midfielder who provides us with width. Townsend prefers to play as an inverted winger. Lamela on the left has possibilities, though, I think. Lennon also is our best defensive midfielder, and is very useful in the midfield battle with his quickness and dribbling ability.

Chiriches is a high wire act. But both he and Mason, in particular, put in a number of good balls that no one got on the end of. The more we attack quickly, the more players will score from these. So far I prefer him at right back, simply because his occasional bizarre decisions are less likely to cost us a goal.

Chadli needs to stay on the bench till he starts working as hard defensively as Eriksen and Lamela do. He’s proved he’s a talented attacking player but abandoning his fullback the way he does is one of the things that have prevented us playing as a team. On the other hand, it’s very encouraging seeing Eriksen back to his best while also working hard defensively.
