It's turning pretty chilly in usually balmy NW London. It's beginning to look a lot like that time of year when the very mention of Christmas is enough to give me the screaming ab dabs... Have a good week one and all!

Can we have a whip round to book a table for him and his mates at Pizza Express so we can get him out of the ground as soon as he's done his ceremonial bit?
I was just wondering if there has ever been a team that has been top of the division after an appreciable number of games and then gone on to be relegated?
Not sure about that, but Manchester City won the old First Division title just before the war (36-37). The season after that they were relegated despite being the Division's highest goalscorers!!
I'll be the first to admit my Icelandic is not perfect, and I know you Icelanders drink some bloody funny stuff, but Shell Oil? I s'pose it must keep out the cold on those longer winter nights.

The "royal" couple have arrived in Ãsland for a holiday, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have come in a private airplane and gone to the countryside. Do Americans use not proper names any more? What happened to Giselle Knowles and Shawn Carter?
That's one of the many less-than-endearing traits to have jumped over the Atlantic. And the Pacific, come to think of it...
That's French lesson over for another week. Turned really cold here with a light mizzle, so one of my radiators has decided to die. It had been playing up last winter, but I didn't need to put the heating on until yesterday and had forgotten about it. Looks as if the easiest thing is to replace it as I don't believe that the company that made it is still in existence for any spares. Found one that looks the same, but under a different brand name. Another trip out then this afternoon to check it out, which involves a 100 mile round trip. At least it is nice and warm in the car.
New radiator purchased, exactly the same size as the old one, so hoped it would sit on the existing brackets. Of course it didn't, so out with the drill and rawlplugs and it now is fixed. The old one had two knobs that you turned to set the temperature, but this one is digital and needs programming. So far I cannot even set the date and time. Still it is chucking out heat and eventually I will sort out some strange French terminology.
Just noticed that The 'Orns are leading Royston 2-1 in the Herts Senior Cup. Two goals from Fabbrini - thought he had gone back to Italy, but obviously not. A couple more and he might get the nod on Friday...
Morning Andy, not in that muddy estuary water, no thanks! Morning all from a c-c-c-c-cold and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day!
