Nice bit of PR from Brentford FC, side-stepping the fact that the Hurlingham Club is in Fulham SW6 and that Roy managed said Fulham - please log in to view this image
Chutzpah! It was not as if Sir Roy was a small time manager who under-performed at FFC. It's taking a chip on the shoulder a bit far.
To re-inforce how bad Championship refs are, take a look at this from the Bradford v Sheffield game: https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/55...p4?versionId=mPCNS3EwH_awZvvOdJMnK48vwCuzPjIK The ref's decision? Play On!!
I feel a lesson can be learned from the Saints, before season starts almost sold the whole team, new manager, and towards the end of Oct 3rd in table. A real case for promoting and supporting a good youth academy, now as in the past many have stepped up with success Can we do the same ?
Shahid Khan will be a very happy man this weekend. Jacksonville Jaguars have won their first game of the regular season, beating the Cleveland Browns 24-6.
Quelle surprise http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29688528 What apparently upset Harry most was ‘Tubby’ Taarby walking out of a pre-match meeting when he learnt that he wasn’t in the squad. Fortunately TT took the 220 bus in the opposite direction this time.
Magath pipes up with some typically abrasive comments. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-no-spirit-Englishman-Winston-Churchill.html Although I abhor the Mail's classic sensationalism-ridden headlines, Felix has shown a lack of class. 'His' players have shown bags of spirit since he left. Funny how that happens when you treat players like human beings.
One for Fulhaman - a rather nice team goal by Sevilla tonight.
Yes, we are doing very nicely in the Europa League. Top of our group by two points and haven't lost a game yet - 2 wins, 2 draws. I'm not reaching for the biscuits just yet, though.
One of the guys I work with supports St Neots (non-league local side), who are playing Truro City this weekend. You may wonder why I'm telling you all this, but Truro City's attack is spearheaded by none other than Barry Hayles. My mate said he'll try and get a photo with him for me, haha!
His 8 days at Watford donât seem to have done Billy McInlay any harm - heâs been given the job of Assistant Coach to David Moyes at Real Solciedad. please log in to view this image Source: http://www.realsociedad.com/documen...-mckinlay-joins-the-first-team-coaching-staff
Win tonight in first home match - "David Moyes and Billy McInlay enjoyed a dream home debut in charge of Real Sociedad as a Carlos Vela hat-trick downed Elche 3-0 at Anoeta. The Mexican international headed the Basques in front with less than three minutes gone and then doubled the lead after half an hour, later clinching the match ball early in the second half." Dang ... I miss watching Fulham. I get like 20 seconds each week of taped FFC action from the BBC. I'm glad we're in a nice vein of form, but I'm bummed (yank for sad) that I get nothing on TV.
The club website shows repeats of all (I think) matches a day or so later. I don't know if that is just for the UK or if you can get it in Germany, DR. It might be worth looking into if you weren't aware of it.
