We could move the forum rule into an actual anouncement at the top of the page and then close down the actual thread. As Astro says it is still relevant but doesn't need anymore comments but be good to have it here as an anouncement just to remind people.
Ok so... I am not sure about the forum rules but feel probably you are correct. I'll ask Video and music was stickied as it is irregularly used and drops off and we get photos posted randomly so it's easier to control and if they break rules we have to work by we can more easily target (i think) We all FEAR touching the music thread. Its rules are clear, just post a clip nothing else and its for the 2/3 who use it and anyone else who browses and that's respected. I don't use it personally. I tidied as it is like those hoarding shows.. if we left it go the pile of trash would grow and grow. There's a thread there for all this which is fine... and the match day thread also allows interclub stuff though preferred if more clubs had fans on not606 could it could involve the two clubs playing and not just LFC Plus LFC haters Spurs threads are always well done, we missed the stoke fans this time round. they had a great following.

It is equally a fair and ridiculous point TBH. Fair in that you are right, they were the most active threads but ridiculous because they were effectively the same threads too. Having three or four similar type threads might be alright for you two since you're both the main contributors to them. However, not everyone on the site wishes to watch you bitch slap each others cock all day either! Having one or two isn't too bad as the rest can ignore those threads, but when you're talking about four or five then its taking over the board. Also, is it really surprising that Astro objects? He created most of the threads in question
There was only 2 threads though.......the UiR one was ****, and I hadn't posted on it for weeks (if at all) and I don't think astro had either, in fact I think you were the main contributor in that thread His Manc wum thread had gone off course a tad, but making out that the 2 busiest threads on the board are causing a problem is to the detriment is pushing it imo. Not that it's any of my business like....before someone types it....
So whats wrong with just using the rivals thread? Or create a banter thread and stick to it. I obviously don't about them being around since I use them, I am talking purely from a boards perspective since not everyone does the random bullshit
These boards topics survive through interest driving them to the top of the page. If they're of no interest they die. Not enough posters creating enough interesting threads to take over from the inane banter, that's the crux of it.
I would ask the following: Would people want the following: 1. A premier league watch thread for weekends to talk about games that are going on, our own match thread, A champions league thread and a banter thread. Or 2. A Match thread, and a rival watch thread I feel sometimes just watching other games gets a little lost but don't feel strongly about it as normally i get on once or twice at weekend and miss most of the live action. I also rarely post live on any match thread unless i am watching game on my own. There are many ways to go about the thing I'm sure. We sometimes use Champions league thread sometimes rival watch thread on euro nights for example. If you dare post hey Leicester got turned over by qpr on the rival thread some wag will comment oh look lfc's rvials are qpr ha ha! get my meaning? Its up to you what content you want but we are just trying to balance it out so those who aint into the same banter everywhere are also catered to.
yes and no. you are right but... when the same old pops up all the time cos two or three are driving it no matter how much new is made they will be there. there's interest and there's interest. If 20 folks were on the two threads talking totally differently fine but thats not the case is it... and yes I've posted on both and will continue to have a giggle with the same guys on the rival watch thread.... you are right as this is why i unstickied the season progress thread then posted my tables on it to get it back on page one. As its also now wums v astro and not what it started out as i wanted to see if it did sink or swim.
Its never a lack of threads, it a lack of discussion within them. The OP needs to be a little controversial to get people talking. Gonzo and I used to work as a team to get them going; he'd post something I'd pick up on certain parts creating the discussion. Copy and pasting a article from the LFC website rarely creates a debate.
Nothing wrong with what we've been doing. Have a match and a rivals thread. If you want the rivals thread to be used properly then you need a banter thread creating. The decisions already been made
Good job mito I haven't been around for several days so it may have stopped ... but ..... Can I suggest that if the astro bashing continues on every thread that we dedicate a single thread for that purpose rather than said poster being followed around from thread to thread with rivals disrupting, saying the same old, same old on every thread. With astro's blessing of course
Or... astro could just go to the manc board cos everyone searching for him will never find him there OR they could just stick to the rival thread like good boys.
