you really need to actually go to a match and watch Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic in action (all teams do it) and as for Costa well the least said about him the better - I suspect a lot of teams will have watched his petulance yesterday and will work on it surely the refs cannot let him continue kicking and smashing oppo players with his arms without sending him off?

Let's give Sunderland some credit here lads. There are times in the past when we would have been proud of their game plan and don't doubt for a minute we won't use it again in the future if needed. Our 'outball' this season has been Ivanovich which in itself gives us lots of space elsewhere but Sunderland nullified that from the off and both Gus/Sunderland deserve praise for that.

We aren't Gooners or red scousers, we respect our opposition. We got a valuable point when last year we likely would have been beaten. Well done Chelsea and likewise Sunderland. I don't expect to have it our own way all the time.

I'm happy to congratulate Sunderland for organisation and work rate but not for getting away with wrestling in the box. Anywhere on the pitch it's a foul every time. That said, we weren't good enough today.

Reading Jose's post match comments on the BBC I did not entirely agree with him. Then I watched his interview and realise some important words he said had been edited out for the text version. It gives a very different flavour to what he said.

The text says : "Only one team tried to win the game but credit to Sunderland.

What he actually said was : "Only one team tried to win from the beginning...

Which is just a matter of fact answer and not some sort of dig at Sunderland which is apparent from what was written. The text also put clever defending in quotation marks emphasizing some sort of sarcasm which when you listen to him does not exist.

I do not always watch the post match videos. I sometimes just scan the story. The moral is don't blow up on not606 with a post until you've got as much information as you can otherwise you make yourself look stupid. As for me I can make myself look stupid in an instant without even trying, it is a real talent.

Nothing in it at all? Both feet studs showing lashing out at an opponents face. Stright red all day long and there really is no argument.

Can't take you seriously if you don't take your rose tinted glasses off. You look daft in them, Fact is yes, it was a rough game for you, but you lot put it about yourself, Terry committed foul after foul on Fletcher without being punished, but this was Kevin Friend we're talking about, the worst referee in the league this season and he was all round poor yet again.

incident 6m in. free to register, all the proof needed that he should been sent off.

Quietest away following to take the whole allocation we've ever had. They couldn't even muster a song at the Tavern either. First time I've been that pub on a match day with no away fans singing. Poor following.

    Agreed!!

Just look at the difference. Our ex player managed team give us a tough game.
Ex manure player takes his team to Old toilet and bends over!!

Wonder what you'd think if Cattermole had done the same to Costa? Such obvious bias. He kicked out at o'Shea. Had the same thing happened to Drogba he'd probably still be rolling down the touch line. It was a straight red any day (and a yellow for o'Shea for the foul btw - but then I admit these things. 2 former professionals said he meant that arm on brown which certainly wasn't "leverage" for his jump. Nasty player but very good player. He has that little dirty streak in hm which I have no issue with. Most top strikers have it but he should've been red carded yesterday

Unfortunately it doesn't show the penalty for dragging Costa down two handed before the justified retaliative kick

Indestructible. I wasn't talking about the Chelsea crowd. That post was about what I heard from the Sunderland crowd and can not be mitigated by anyone else maybe doing the same. I speak for me and you may call me blinkered but it doesn't make it true, put it in CAPS and it is still just your opinion that when put next to what I typed (thank you for doing that) and a review of the crowd from the game highlights exactly what I was saying. I'm about appreciating football not gainsaying. What it does do is make you closed and dismissive. Do not imagine beyond what I actually put, all else is supposition. I believe our whole society is trending towards this sort of attitude, but this is a football forum not a political or sociological one. The noises the crowd made were indicative of the lack of respect for others poisoning our World. It maybe some Chelsea fans do the same, but that still doesn't change what I saw or heard or make it OK and it was still very very sad and still is. The last thing it needs is some twisted defence. Were you one of those falsely jeering?[, is that why you are so sore? Are you merely defending the reprehensible because it was about those Sunderland fans? If so it would yet again prove what I said.

Probably for the best that you aren't a referee. Let's all just kick each other after every perceived injustice.

I will take that as a compliment, and I have to say that the Chelsea fans contributed their fair share to what was a cracking atmosphere...However, I also have to point out that we needed to be partisan to try and null the sway that your 12th man had on influencing the result. Yes, Kevin Friend gave Chelsea everything today, and at times was embarrassing the way he was so obvious in his bias..
On a final note, I will say that I'm pretty sure that you will run away with the title this year, and best of luck in Europe as well..<ok>

Just comes across rich playing the card you're playing when you could have had the same player sent off twice. Fletcher was manhandled the same way all game and nothing was done. The ref set the standard decided he was going to let those challenges go and to be fair he was consistent against both sides in doing **** all.

Just drop your self entitlement accept a draw was fair result. Your lack of humility is embarrassing. Two points dropped and toys out of the pram. How you going to be when someone beats you?
