The Nightcrawler This is an excellent thriller. Jake Gyllenhall in the lead is completely loony. Frighteningly wonderful performance as the Norman Bates of News gathering. His character is mental. You know he's mental. Everybody around him knows he's mental and yet, he makes everything seem all very logical.

I loved this film. The characters are great. The set pieces are spine tingling and the action is edge of your seat stuff. The scenes outside the restaurant are some of the most nerve jangling I have seen in a long time. The anticipation/tension the director builds up as we watch, like voyeurs is brilliant.

One of the best films of the year imo 9/10

Agreed, but for some reason I thought Keira Knightly's performance was excellent, never really took any notice of her acting before this, but before The Imitation Game started there was adverts, trailers etc which seemed to go on forever but one trailer was for Paddington Bear, don't laugh. We thought (my wife and I) that it was funny so last week went along to see the film and despite being for 'kids' both of us giggled throughout like daft kids. It was daft but funny and despite the sniggers of friends when told we had seen it I would recommend it for an irreverent couple of hours entertainment.

Incidentally I have visited Bletchley Park and if you liked The Imitation Game then a visit to this very place is just as outstanding, Alan Turing's writings are on display and the only thing I understood were the page numbers. Actual decoded messages, Enigma machine and all the paraphernalia connected to this film are there to see, fascinating.

Watched Innerspace last weekend, daft but entertaining. The young Meg Ryan, I most definitely would.

Said pretty much the same thing a couple of pages back. Tension is unreal. Ruthless bastard as well (psychopath). Not sure it will be to everyone's liking. It's a great film but I have a feeling now I've watched it, I wouldn't be drawn to watching it again.

The Hobbit: Battle Of Five Armies

Thoroughly enjoyable - amazing action sequences - stunning scenery etc

Admittedly Peter Jackson has injected a huge dollop of poetic licence (if you compare to the book) - although his sub-plots are inventive if not ingenious - well worth the money - great entertainment.

No will take a look though as all the copies of Nightcrawler have a huge watermark at the bottom.
