We need WBA to have a massive off day next week and win by any means possible to get us going. I don't care if it's a complete borefest as long as we win
Just got back. We weren't really in the contest against their mega stars. Brady, Ben Arfa and Diame didn't perform as well as they could. Lots of giving the ball away. Felt for Jelavic - so little supply. Defence didn't do too bad for what they were up against. Think we need to start with two up top and not one floating behind here there and everywhere like Ben Arfa was. Aluko made a minor difference but wasn't enough.
Don't know about you Cortez I had a great day despite the score ..What could be better then watching the team we love .. Didn't think we would win this one but I did hope we would of course . Man U are one of the best teams in the league and it showed at times...we lost but most team will lose at old Trafford as they have picked up of late...suprised how quiet the stretford end was . Next away game for me is sunderlaand on boxing day and I think we will win that game. I celebrate being able to get to away games this season...Amazing really...Hopefully we will do better against Everton and beat west brom. . No doom and gloom from me ...the juniors are glad they went and also had a good day despite the score
This so much. Same as Burnley, same as Southampton, same as second half against Tottenham. We just have no impact on games at the moment and teams are comfortably beating us without having to do much. He's just too good for us plain and simple. I wouldn't blame him if he was hoping for a move in January.
We were ****ing shocking in the first half, utterly ****ing shocking, we play so defensively it's embarrassing.
We have to many mental blocks at certain away grounds ie anyone playing in claret and blue and grounds like Goodison. A bit worried has to we're going to get the points off to stay up with our run in. We seem to be in a downward spiral that's gonna take a big effort to get out of. Time for Bruce and the players to earn their corn
Ah, so that's how it works. Do we just hand the league title to the team that has the biggest budget? Swansea won at Old Trafford.
Particularly as the 'defensive' tactic doesn't yield too many clean sheets. We are in deep ****, no mistake about it.
Leicester also managed to beat them because they attacked them without fear. As OLM said, we just seem to sit back and let teams attack us, we've done it for a while now and it's getting irritating. There's no reason why we shouldn't have our attacking players bombing forward and getting at their back line, it's what every other team in the PL does, it's hardly a mystery.
It's because our manager is Steve Bruce. It's amusing how many people will slam his handiwork, but direct criticism of the man himself is way off limits. Just sack the fat useless **** and be done with it. Iain Dowie was better.
Allam. His fans suggest it's down to him when we do well, so... The annoying thing is we had a weaker squad last season than we do now apart from losing Long (and that should have been offset by the money we've spent on other attacking players) and we attacked teams a lot more. We really lacked a player like Ben Arfa last season but we made the best of it and attacked with what we had. We should be better equipped now to dominate games and attack teams than we were last year. On top of that, we were consistent last season and never had a really bad performance which we have had a few times this season.
Aston Villa away last season was possibly the worst performance I've ever seen, and trust me when I say I've seen some ****. If you told someone who didn't know the score that one team was winning 3-1, they'd definitely have said it was us. 3-1 down and walking slowly to retrieve the ball, taking bang forever at set pieces, leisurely passing the ball about the back with absolutely no urgency to get forward and attack or score a goal. I've never bought into football cliches that they haven't tried or whatever, but that day they really were not trying at all. And it was ****ing daylight robbery for the ticket prices as well.
Brucie is doing exactly what Brownie did - we started well last season then started packing the defence and losing matches - the same this season - 11 men back for every corner is ****ing stupid
Only a few weeks ago we got very creditable draws at the Emirates and Anfield. We need to get that level performance back. Even if we playing away at Everton it might be a good idea to have Jela paired up front with Hernandez. If we keep possession better and attack more our defence would not be under such constant pressure.
