Pearson: We Deserved More please log in to view this image We're LCFC, we're bottom of the league (finally) - they're doing a Blackpool after a great start. Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson felt his sideâs performance warranted at least a point against Queens Park Rangers in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday. The Foxes went down 3-2 in an exciting game at Loftus Road, and despite creating plenty of opportunities, they left London empty-handed on the eve of a crucial clash with Liverpool at King Power Stadium on Tuesday. Esteban Cambiasso had given the Foxes a fourth minute lead with an exquisite strike into the bottom corner, but an unfortunate own goal from Wes Morgan and a Leroy Fer header had the Rs ahead on the stroke of half time. Jeff Schlupp added another beauty in the second half for City, who had put their scoring drought behind them, but Charlie Austinâs header after a scramble in the box handed all three points to Harry Redknappâs side. Speaking to Foxes Player at full-time, Nigel Pearson said: âItâs a game we should have won if you want to look at chances created. The goals that we conceded make it very disappointing. The third one was a scramble and I could pick a few bones out of that if I wanted to. âIt is frustrating for everybody Iâm sure, but I feel for the players today, because theyâve actually worked pretty well. Weâve had criticism about not creating chances in the past. We could have won two or three games today with the chances we created, so that remains a difficult one and something that we will have to keep working on. âIâll remind the players about the positives today. At the moment itâs not happening for us, but I saw some good things today. âThe goals were probably two of the hardest chances. Weâve had some really good situations in the game, and we were unable today to make the most of them. âConsequently we come away with nothing, and that remains very frustrating for us, because all in all from our performance, we deserved more. We have to make sure we go again on Tuesday.â http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/pearson-we-deserved-more-2112715.aspx
QPR versus Leicester first on Match of the Day? Well, it was a five-goal thriller. Here's the rest of the running order... please log in to view this image
Cheers mate. I feared for us when you equalized but it was an entertaining game if there were any neutrals there and its good to see its on motd first.
Nice touch Jack. Today's game produced 51 goal attempts which is the highest in a Premier League match since the 2006/7 season.
thx jacklesterfan, can you pass on a message to MiamiFox on your board who aint got the bottle to come on NAH-NAH NA NA NAH NAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You sir are the only Foxes fan to come on and say anything at all, and unlike miami, andykingscrownjewels etc at least you have the minerals to be pleasant and honest. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Good man Jack A cracking game that could have gone either way. Well done to you mate for the post ,ok>
Well said sir and I agree with you in your hopes. It's nice to know you are all still alive -even though you are the only one man enough to put his head up above the parapet. Don't the others come out to play any more?
Over 50 goal attempts in one match, we were lucky to get double figures at some of last season's bore-fests. However, if we play like that away we could get we and truly thumped on Tuesday...
Hey ho. Great game. Things went our way. We got the result we needed. Middle of the table here we come. Who's next? Oh yes. Swansea away. Back to doom and gloom then. Looking forward to the next must win six pointer against Burnley. Harold will be out if we don't. Blah blah blah
Why so mocking? The home games against Leicester, Burnely, West Brom and Palace ARE absolutely vital and ARE six pointers!
No they are npt....all thats essentiall is that our squad put in a decent performance. Sometimes Col, you have to put your hands up and acknowledge a better team, squad. etc... If we try and lose then thats ok...Im waiting to see how you could shoehorn Fatty into this one..but cant see it yet..>
I see reports that Pulis is being lined up to replace Pearson at Leicester, it doesn't take long to go from hero to zero... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-eye-tony-pulis-manager-4719064
Woah woah why the pop at me. I posted on our board that credit to QPR. You were better technically and looked a threat every time you went forward. I'd hoped for at least a point but well done boys We need to somehow stop this rot soon before too much of a gap appears to 17th Congrats again though. It was a big 3 points for you and deserved imo
Because after the **** you posted on here last season it would have been nice if you could have been gracious on our board
