The ref today

Got called so booked 3 of our players in the 2nd half, and yet they should have been down to 10 men.

 

He was shocking

Friend is as bent as a nine-bob note..not good enough to referee in the Premier league,and must be in the pay of some bookmakers to make the decisions he does!!

 

I didn't get the yellow for Costa. If its an intentional elbow/arm across the face then it's a straight red, if it was accidental then it's nothing. So where does a yellow come from?

 

i'm baffled by that anarl mate, motd should clear that up, i thought he should have went for the kick out tbh, was worse than the hull lad last week from where i was looking

FWIW I think Chelsea looked more likely to score when he was taken off, maybe a blessing that he stayed on the pitch, he cut a frustrated figure tonight.

The first time round I thought I saw a kick out from Costa but the replays didn't really show it clearly. They did show what looked like a Kick from JOS as they first hit the deck. Was a good initial foul as they were breaking

 

looked like he took a couple of kick outs to me from where we were, left foot then right foot, i could be wrong like, red & white goggles and that

 

Didn't think they actually looked like scoring at any point. They had us pinned back but only opened us up once I think, Pants saved from ivanovic 1st half.

As I said in build up, we couldn't chase the game, had to sit right on top of our own box and defend properly. Job very well done. Chelsea tired and ran out of ideas.

Oh mate I've got a pair just like them! I'm just saying the replay angle shown didn't show it but it looked like it first time round

 

i agree with this, catts had matic in his back pocket, willian was a handfull in the first half but was nullified fairly quickly, take away that southampton result and its hard to knock a team which is proving hard to beat, lost twice all season

Yeah I think so too. F*****s tried to kick O'Shea in the face, and Cattermole gets called dirty yet he never does anything like that. Costa has some issues it seems, if teams are clever then they'll wind him up and it looks like he'll take the bait every time.

The arm in the face was a complete accident. Not even a yellow IMO.

If he did kick out it should be red but I didn't think it was clear from the angle shown
