I don't want to rush him back just yet. I'd give him 10-15 minutes if we're leading. Would start him midweek
This board has been dead on match days recently... Team: Martinez, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Alexis, Cazorla, Welbeck, Giroud. Subs: Macey, Bellerin, Gibbs, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Campbell, Podolski. Strange that Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain aren't starting considering they were 2 of our best players on Wednesday. Of course, they could have slight knocks or just be fatigued. Great to see Koscielny back! Hopefully he can last the whole game and is completely over his injuries. Interesting to see Welbeck and Giroud starting together. Although I imagine we'll play that same 4141, with Alexis and Welbeck on the wings.
Was going to have to rest them eventually, we have 3 games in a week now, and if you count the last one they played on Wednesday, that's 4 games in just 10 days, so eventually people were going to be rested and Wenger's assessed it's better to rest them now rather than the tougher home game VS Southampton. Having said that, Wenger really doesn't fancy Podolski anymore does he.
Nah. I reckon Podolski will leave in January now that Giroud and Sanogo are back fit. We don't need him up front, we don't play him on the wings. Pointless keeping him on what are bound to be high wages. I'd imagine a few German clubs would be willing to give him a shot.
i think that's cos it was mind numbingly poisonous a few weeks ago...i suspect that many posters don't want the grief...it's a sad fact of life...too many can not disagree politely on the web.
why do players go down like that...giroud's dying swan act made it look like a dive...such an unnatural way to go down
Playing well, just need a goal. Thing is, we're only one defensive mistake away from losing this game so we really need to become clinical.
Giroud has been our least effective player. I would move Wellbeck into the middle and bring on the Ox.
